Extending across a lake, the city of Managua, originally a fishing village is now the capital city of Nicaragua. The city center is still being rebuilt after a devastating earthquake that hit in 1972, preserving its history and adopting a new cosmopolitan way of life. It’s difficult not to notice the pulsating culture that the city has to offer. Its many shopping areas, rich nightlife, great restaurants with local and international cuisines, theaters and museums, are enough to keep visitors wanting more.

Managua’s beauty can also be experienced from Masaya Volcano, Tiscapa Lagoon and naturally, Lake Managua.  The lagoon is the best spot to view the city because it’s at the highest point, perfect to really see the natural magnificence of the city.
