We had French people travelling with us and only 3 who spoke english. Most of the journey was translated in French so the English speakers felt left out.
Beach was beautiful, but the eating places were not brilliant.
We were shown around the streets, which is not as a pretty sight like the beach or the main roads.
Overall rating 3 out of 5
Really good to be given an oppertunity to stop and take pictures. I was expecting more mountains. The drinking was a relaxing experience. Sites were not something i would go back to marrakech for.
A ride that should be done. Provides insights into the valleys and snowy mountain in the distance, takes you to a visit into the home of a family living in a primitive form, and another visit to a manufacturing plant of Argan oil (olio d'argan).
The guide behaviour, which means essentially lack of politness and excessive informality spoiled all the tour. Not a lot of information on area specificities and history, only jokes. In fact, the tour guide seems not to be a professional guide.
An excellent day in every respect, interesting journey, just enough time at the womens cooperative which was interesting too. The short and informative guided tour was very good and the amount of free time just right. We chose to eat at the restaurant our guide suggested , it was right on the sea front and we were very happy with the food and service. The transport was excellent and our guide Larby added to the day with absolutely excellent Engish and pleasant manner.
Really enjoyed the day. Transport excellent with careful driver but would've helped a lot had he been able to speak some English. Disappointed with this, the English speaking guide was in another vehicle. Could've done without the pottery stop but these always seem inevitable. Berber house and restaurant great. Scenery amazing.
I would have given the tour a 5 * as the actual trip was brilliant. The guide was exceptionally well informed and interesting. We did however have some major issues with our booking, getting it confirmed when we arrived in Marrakesh. However I would hearily recommend it to everyone!
Had a fantastic day out - sun, snow, scenery (yes, snow!) what more could you ask for? Our guide was great although the real hero of the day was the driver who negotiated the winding mountain roads without battling an eye. Definitely recommend this trip as a break from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh and a way of seeing another side of Morocco.
It's a long drive from Marrakesh to Essaouira so we could have done without the additional stops along the way. Essaouira is beautiful though and a much more laid back place the Marrakesh; beautiful beach - if a little windy!
Excellent guide and a great day out. Loved the little port and its markets. Plenty to see and if you wanted to get away from it all time to just unwind and walk along the beach.
The trip began with short stop at a pottery workshop, followed by a beautiful drive in the mountains with spectacular scenery.
The next stop was at a Berber home which was fascinating with mint tea and delicious fresh home made bread. We strongly recommend you take a very good handful of small denomination Dirham for the many local children you will meet on the way or at the very least plenty of sweets.
We were then driven to our lunch destination in the next valley which was rather disorganised and of average quality unfortunately.
The afternoon concluded with an interesting visit to an Argan oil producer..
The only downside to this tour was that we had booked an English speaking tour but much of it was not spoken in English during the afternoon and little explanation or translation was offered.
However, overall we would recommend this tour.
