Picked tour up on due date prompt arrival really really interesting saw the real Marrakech visited Berber family had tea in their house and saw how they lived, was really authentic did not appear set up. Tour guide really informative, beautiful scenery first time we have used viator would use again

Excellent. The Guide was great giving interesting and useful information in both English and French. The stop at the Aargan oil cooperative was a great break from the coach (its a long drive). Essouira itself is beautiful and more relaxed than Marrakech. A lovely break from the bustling souks to stroll round the quieter streets. Great food and wonderful crepes from a stall just off the main square!

Really good day out of the hustle of Marrakech. Excellent way to experience the Berber lifestyle and see the Atlas mountains.

The tour included so much of Marrakech. While the sights were fantastic, and the lunch was really good, there were a couple of 'hard-sell' shopping opportunities that could have been left out. It was a really long day, and being dragged into carpet shops and traditional pharmacies to be pressured to buy stuff was just unnecessary and spoilt an otherwise great tour. There's also a fine line between explaining about the local religion and customs and 'preaching'. Ditch the shopping 'opportunities' and the tour would have been 5 star.

I really enjoyed this day trip. It was so nice to get out of Marrakech and into the country - the scenery was just stunning. Youssef was a good guide and very knowledgable.

Good trip and despite being the only two English-speakers (everyone else was French!) the guide explained everything to us in the same amount of detail. Friendly and well-run. Hotel pick-up was also on time.

Although we had an English speaking guide with the group of vehicles, our driver spoke no English. Our only acess to the guide was when we stopped and he was also dealing with French speakers as well. The scenery is great, as long as you are comfortable with long periods in a 4X4. We made a stop for tea at a Berber home which was interesting, and a stop at a pottery and Argan Oil cooperative which was less so. The lunch was excellent. A few stops along the way to stretch legs and view the scenery.

Most of the tourists spoke French, but the guide was bilingual in English/French and catered to both audiences. We got a guided tour of the medina (old city), followed by some free time to have lunch and explore the markets. We were under the impression that we would be getting picked up from our hotel, but unfortunately we found out - only on the day of - that hotel pick up was not an option for us because we were staying in a "riyad". It would have been helpful to know this at the time of booking. While most riyads are located in narrow alleyways, ours was on a large main road (where mini buses passed regularly).

Too big of a tour group. Our guide mostly spoke the french people,forgetting or omitting to translate for the english speaking people. I say that because I do understand french, and he will go on a very detail explanation of what we were seeing and then a few seconds in english. If you have that many people with one language then separate the tour for them only,saving a lot of explanation and time. Not personable at all.

I would not recommend this tour, especially not for independent travellers. The group was very large and was comprised almost exclusively of package tourists, who didn’t seem to have spent very much time outside the hotel aside from this tour. The main tour guide appeared quite arrogant, including in his responses to some people’s questions about the timing of the tour group. Our lunch was very average and took place in a large room in a restaurant that seemed to be dominated by other package tours. The afternoon session was basically an extended sales pitch from a Moroccan herbalist store about which of their products we should buy; followed by an optional visit to a handicrafts store. The one saving grace was the second tour guide, who was a lovely and very knowledgeable man. I learned a few things in the morning, but on the whole, it really felt like an impersonal, lowest common denominator, mass-produced experience.

Excellent tour, we were taken by coach to the Moroccan Dinner and Cultural Show. The meal was very good and the show was very exciting witht eh Berbers showing their brilliant skills with the horses.
Highly recommended.

Excellent trip through the breath-taking scenes of Atlas Mountains. Visiting the Berber Village was the icing on the cake.
