Doing what: Marseille City Pass

Definitely recommend this and will also look for this type of pass in other cities I plan to visit around Europe.

Doing what: Marseille Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

Get the two day pass for sure! You'll want to go back again and again!

The best way to know any city is by a sight seeing bus tour. They will show you the best spots on the town and after that it is up to you to go on your own.
Marseille is one of the cities that is worth sight seeing on foot.

lovely tour

Hop on Hop Off bus was Ok but the city of Marseille was dirty and not particularly interesting. More of a working city and the least liked of our trip.

Our Marseille shore excursion was canceled due to bad weather. Instead, the ship stopped in another port called Toulon. It's a beautiful port!

Doing what: Marseille Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

very convenient way to see the city.the downside was that there were only 4 bus rides that sunday which made hopping off inconvenient.

Excellent way to see the sights of the city. Very picturesque scenery, great view from the open top bus.

this one was super - no complaints.

This was a nice bus tour.

Doing what: Marseille Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

Prebooked ticket worked fine
Rain made the hop on/off ride sub optimal, and there wasn't that much to see - but still a good way to get an overview of the main attractions

Not much to do in Marseille, so the hop on hop off tour was perfect and economical. We never got off the bus (though you can to check out different points). Total tour takes about 1 1/2 hours. We decidied not to get off because the bus only comes around once per hour and we didn't see anything that we wanted to committ and hour to (the cathedral at the top of town was tempting). In addition, our cruise stop was like 1/2 day so we were a little concerned about being left at a stop (or the bus fills up and they skip you). Warning: we were unaware that you have to take a shuttle bus into town to catch the bus. The cruise provides the shuttle, but it costs you $12 each. A little surprise for our family of four.

The experience was good considering this was our first experience with a hop on and hop off sightseeing bus. My only concern was getting from the port of call to the first stop. We were not made aware that we will need to make arrangment with the ship shuttle bus to arrive to the first stop. Viator should provide some form of transportation from the port to the city.

Doing what: Private Tour: Marseille and Cassis Day Trip

Our Guide, Marina, did an outstanding job of orienting us along the way to Cassis from Marseille. Our boat ride to 3 of the magnificent Clanaques (coves) was breathtaking. The view of the harbor from the top of the cliff was unbelievable. I'd do it again.
