Doing what: Marseille City Pass
This is a very good deal, and it gives you a good base on which to plan your days in Marseille. We purchased a two-day pass, which we picked up from the tourist centre and which was validated at that location. The lady at the office failed to tell us that the second day of our pass was a public holiday and we couldn't use the pass because nothing was open: churches, museums, libraries; everything was closed. Had she told us, we could have chosen two other days because we were there for five days.

Doing what: Marseille City Pass
This is a must if you plan on seeing a bunch of museums. Each museum costs 4-10 euros, which really adds up. The tourist board where you redeem your voucher is right across the street from the port and easy to find. The pass does not include the main tour bus, however - just a discount.

Doing what: Marseille Shore Excursion: Marseille Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
Our Marseille shore excursion was canceled due to bad weather. Instead, the ship stopped in another port called Toulon. It's a beautiful port!

Doing what: Marseille Shore Excursion: Marseille Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
Hop on Hop Off bus was Ok but the city of Marseille was dirty and not particularly interesting. More of a working city and the least liked of our trip.

Doing what: Marseille Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
very convenient way to see the city.the downside was that there were only 4 bus rides that sunday which made hopping off inconvenient.

Doing what: Marseille Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
Prebooked ticket worked fine
Rain made the hop on/off ride sub optimal, and there wasn't that much to see - but still a good way to get an overview of the main attractions

Doing what: Marseille Shore Excursion: Marseille Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
Tour was OK. Main problem was getting to the start point from cruise terminal. Local bus stop 1 and half km walk then 2 buses to Port of Marseille took well hour which limited you time at Marseille to see and do anything.

Doing what: Marseille Independent Day Trip from Paris by TGV Train
The Train was great, the city "under Construction" due to that the time to return was way over estimated. We came back early, but had to pay for it ourselves. Overall we were disappointed with the tour operator.

Doing what: Marseille City Pass
I didn't go; it's too far. Instead I ended up in Lyon. It's quite a trip but it takes a few more days to explore all of that town.

Doing what: Marseille Shore Excursion: Marseille Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
The experience was good considering this was our first experience with a hop on and hop off sightseeing bus. My only concern was getting from the port of call to the first stop. We were not made aware that we will need to make arrangment with the ship shuttle bus to arrive to the first stop. Viator should provide some form of transportation from the port to the city.
