Fourth Annual Maui County Agricultural Fest
Ever had Kula corn? Curious how sweet it is? Ever had it as a custard or served with duck breast? How about Hawaiian tomatoes made into pomodoro sauce? You can tickle your tastebuds to your heart’s delight this April 2nd at the Fourth Annual Maui Agricultural Fest in Waikapu.

This local farm-fest pairs Maui’s top chefs with a host of ranchers and farmers to demonstrate the diversity of produce and delectable delicacies made from this iron-rich earth. Stroll through and look at flower demonstrations, pet livestock, and sample some of the best food and fare from around the island. Tickets for this event always go fast as opportunities to meet with Maui’s best cooks and best farmers are slim and a chance to learn from them even slimmer. It’s also a good way to get a nice sampling of food from Maui’s top restaurants, as they make events like this must-shows for their chefs in order to keep their names in the community and to demonstrate local skill.

So head on down to the Maui Tropical Plantation and see what the fuss is about. But be forewarned, many stalls are free, but some tents may charge admission. 11am to 1pm and 1:30pm to 3pm.
