Comment from Emma
Melbournians love to party and thousands flock to the city every year to join in the fun. In mid-summer tennis fans descend on the city for the Australian Open. Fall, between March and May, is the busiest season for festivals with foodies, car racing nuts and gardeners well catered for. As the cooler weather breezes in, winter festivals encourage writers and film buffs to come out of the cold. Spring begins in earnest at the Spring Racing Carnival, where one sporting event (the Melbourne Cup) grabs the attention of the entire nation.
