The tour was amazing. The guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and very passionate about all the history of Mexico!!!
We started a bit late because of some confusion with other travelers who had not paid or something of the sort. The tour guide, Jose Manuel, was fantastic-- knowledgeable, responsive, engaged with us. The driver was great too. Unfortunately our tour bus broke down and we had to wait about an hour for a new bus. In the end, we got back to the hotel about 2hrs later than we had anticipated.
Tour provides a quick overview of some of the key places to visit when in Mexico City. Ideal way to see the city when on a tight schedule.
The only thing valuable about this was the tour guide's explanations on the Diego Rivera murals and his discussion on the Aztec Room of the museum. The hotel pick-up took even longer than the actual tour, with a useless silver shop tourist trap stop in between! And for all the fuss about the Mayan Calendar this year, I think it is a crime that the Mayan Room was NOT included in the guided tour. And this was my only Mexico City tour where the guide actually reminded us about gratuities. If you have the time and can just read the explanations from guidebooks, I suggest you just go out and do the sighseeing on your own.
Our tour guide was very passionate about all the history of Mexico and he also had a good sense of humor which made the tour all the more interesting. Our guide was very accommodating to everyone in the group and was very good with kids.
Despite the scheduled departure time of 9.00 AM, the guide approached me in the dining room of the hotel at 8.45. So, I had to hurriedly get myself ready. He was a pleasant and helpful guide. The group was a Spanish speaking family and I the only English speaking member. However, we had an enjoyable time together and the guide was able to give me enough coverage to appreciate the significance of the historic district and the museum. We seemed to finish a little sooner than I expected - we did not see the Mayan section of the museum. On the whole a pleasant and informative day - especially considering it was New Year's Day.
I can not speak highly enough about how great this Mexico City tour was!. Our guide, Javier, was so knowledgeable and entertaining that we all had a great time. The visit to the Museum of Anthropology was the highlight of the day! A truly great Experience!!
Very good tour of the city for my first day in Mexico. I especially enjoyed the Palace and the Diego Rivera murals. Guide had a real encyclopedic knowledge of everywhere we went.. Well done!!
Although the guide was knowledgeable, the tour was given in 5 hrs straight! I was surprised that they didn't even bother on taking us somewhere for lunch. I was very cranky by the end, since it looked that they wanted to be done ASAP.
Very professional, nice and knowledgeable guide.
Very entertaining, interesting and well organized tour.
Terrific opportunity for a private tour with other participants leaving early. The guide was extremely engaging and we benefited from his knowledge and passion with history.
