Doing what: Mexico City Sightseeing Tour

An interesting tour with a very knowledgable guide. The group contained both English and Spanish speaking people but the guide gave us both equal time which was refreshing as other tours have not always done this and the minority group then misses out.

A great insight into the history of the city. The tour guide has so much knowledge and experience, he also is fit, he keeps a good pace ;-)

The tour was not very organized wasted too much time trying to coordinate the people for each tour. The places that we visited were nice.

Great tour from start to finish and perfect introduction to the city. Mexico City is huge and this tour allowed us to see the main sights quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend to all people visiting Mexico City!

Alight, this was a good tour....but no reason it can't be better. The guide was great and knew his stuff. The group was eclectic and from all over the world. The sights chosen speak for themselves. The on-the-spot decision to see Diego Rivera murals at the Min of Education worked out well (the palace on the Zocolo was closed for Sept 15 security preparations). Where the tour needs improvement: we did not sit down and have a meal together. part of what people want from these tours is to socialize. Feed them seated together for 40 minutes instead of forcing them to shop at a Nuevo Laredo type store for 40 minutes. Overall, enjoyed the tour.

English speakers will need to be aware: we were in a tour group of 18 people, of which the two of us were the only English speakers in the bus.

Though the well-mannered guide attempt to provide English commentaries to us, 90% of the tour were described in Spanish, with minimal time spent in English given a number of questions asked by the other tour mates.

I would strongly suggest that Viator and the tour company tours (or other operators) to do English only tours. Although the tour company takes us to all the places that were described on the website here, we found the tour a bit disappointing as we weren't getting all the details that were described to our Spanish counterparts.

The tour includes very interesting sites but this tour does not do them justice because of the time limitation. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and professional.

We had a great time on the Mexico City tour. Our guide was very well spoken and very educated about the different things we saw. I only wish we had more time to spend at the Museum of Anthropology.

We started a bit late because of some confusion with other travelers who had not paid or something of the sort. The tour guide, Jose Manuel, was fantastic-- knowledgeable, responsive, engaged with us. The driver was great too. Unfortunately our tour bus broke down and we had to wait about an hour for a new bus. In the end, we got back to the hotel about 2hrs later than we had anticipated.

Tour provides a quick overview of some of the key places to visit when in Mexico City. Ideal way to see the city when on a tight schedule.

The only thing valuable about this was the tour guide's explanations on the Diego Rivera murals and his discussion on the Aztec Room of the museum. The hotel pick-up took even longer than the actual tour, with a useless silver shop tourist trap stop in between! And for all the fuss about the Mayan Calendar this year, I think it is a crime that the Mayan Room was NOT included in the guided tour. And this was my only Mexico City tour where the guide actually reminded us about gratuities. If you have the time and can just read the explanations from guidebooks, I suggest you just go out and do the sighseeing on your own.

Our tour guide was very passionate about all the history of Mexico and he also had a good sense of humor which made the tour all the more interesting. Our guide was very accommodating to everyone in the group and was very good with kids.
