The city tour and cruise were great but the tour operator, Half Price Tours, were extremely inefficient so much so that there was a lot of wasted time.
The tour and cruise would have received a higher rating if it wasn't for the inefficient tour operator.
We were asked to arrive at the tour operators site at 9, then we were asked to wait a half hour for the bus, then we waited on the bus for an hour. Starting a tour by wasting an hour sets a really bad mood to begin a leisure activity. Otherwise the guide was quite good...
City tour is a great way to see the main sights of Miami, the everglades airboat tour is short, but a good experience
city tour: very nice but the over-talkative and non-informative guide had a questionable level of English
airboat: very cool but extremely short
The tour was way over booked. Then the rain happened which I know you can't control but you can control the booking numbers. Everyone that was upstairs came downstairs with no place to sit, it was standing room only and noone could move. Then at stops, no one wanted to get out and people were taking seats away from others then saving them for their fellow travelers. We got off early and took taxi back to hotel. It was a miserable experience. The tour guide was hard to hear and did NOTHING to control the crowds.
Very interesting bus ride-our guide was hilarious and he had the whole top floor of the bus in hysterics-low flying branches helped this too in certain areas-keep a tight hold of your hats!!!!
Cruise was lovely-very relaxing and a beautiful way to see where the rice and famous live
Bus tour was informative. Would liked to have been informed of more than 1 option for lunch. We were directed to 1 particular sea food resturaunt for luch prior to boat cruise. Boat cruise was excellent value, very informative.
very good! no the cruise we were expecting though
Very good price for what they provided. The guide on the bus was funny and made the tour fun. The boat tour was ok, not very exciting. Love to hear more history of the town instead of just so and so live here and so and so live there.
Pick up was 20 minutes late. Took me 2 minutes up the road to queue in another office for another ticket!!!
Once on the bus we had Harry commentating, he was good. The city tour was ok, not really much to see. Then on to Bayside where we ushered into a certain restaurant of their choice.... I went elsewhere. The cruise was ok, not great!!!
It was ok but could have been better!!!
Did this tour because I was in Miami for a short amount of time and wanted to see the most that I could while my family and I was there. I was told that pick up from my hotel would be at 830 AM and to be at least 10 minutes early. We weren't picked up until almost 900AM. Spent the next 30 minutes picking up other guests at other hotels which was expected then we came to a stop for about 40 minutes where people were getting on and off the bus depending on which tour they booked. The actual city tour was only about 1.5 hrs. Then they took us to Bayside and had reserved seating for us at Tradewinds restaurant which was nice, but it's only outdoor seating. Something that I wouldn't have chose to do on my own since it was 95 degrees and very humid. We were seated and given menus around 11:30. We were given instructions to meet back at a specific location near the restaurant at 12:20PM. So that gave us less than an hour to sit down, order, eat, pay and wrap up any left overs. We felt so rushed that we weren't able to eat a majority of our food. We went to the designated meeting spot and the tour guides weren't there. They were across from where they said they would be. No big deal. They rush us to leave to get in line for the boat tour. The boat isn't even there! We didn't get on the boat until 1255pm. We were told that the bus would come back at 3:30 to take people back to their hotels. So we waited and once the bus came I asked the driver just to confirm that he was going back to the hotels, he said they were going to South Beach first and then going to come back around in the downtown Miami area where we were staying. I traveled with seniors in my family and although our hotel wasn't too far. It was too far for them to walk back in the heat and humidity, This tour was completely unorganized. You can't differentiate the tour guide from the people that are on the tour. The experience was very rushed and a horrible experience
PESIMO SUSPENDIERON LA EXCURSION POR CAUSAS CLIMATICAS QUEDARON EN HACERLA AL OTRO DIA Y NUNCA ME PASARON A BUSCAR POR EL HOTEL
the same as above - we were together on that tour
Although we got rained on it was great. That was beyond everyone's control and they tried the best of the situation.
Our tour and cruise were enjoyable and look forward to repeating the next time we are in florida.
Miami City tour was good, Biscayne Bay Cruise mainly concentrated on cruising past houses owned by celebrities or often houses that used to be owned by famous people.
We had a good time on this tour outside of the bus needing good air conditioning. All in all it was okay for the price.
It's a quick introduction to the city if your first time there.
I did not stay in a hotel which is in your pick up area. I spent 50 on cap roud trip to get to the point you pick us up. Other than that, it was good.
This tour was a disaster. The changes on who will pick us up at the Hotel were changed and was never communicated to us until we called 48 hours prior to the start of our Tour. When I booked this tour, I was advised that we will be picked up at the Doubletree Ocean Resort and Spa in North Miami Beach. However, when I reconfirmed the tour, the agent told me that the local tour operator would no longer be the one to provide the tour and we had to go elsewhere for the pick-up. This cost us additional taxi fare in the amount of 25 dollars just to be available at the new place they designated for the pick-up. We didn't know who will pick us up until a black mini-van pulled up and asked us if we are on the City tour so we hopped in and were transferred us to a Doubledecker bus near South Beach. The bus went to pick up more passengers along the hotels for almost an hour. It was almost 11:00 a.m. when the Tour Guide grabbed the microphone and welcomed everyone but the rain started pouring. Thank God we brought raincoats and the 2nd deck of the bus has a roof otherwise we will be soaking wet. We really did not enjoy the first part of the tour esp. in South Beach, partly becuase of the strong winds and rain. By the time we reached Little Havana, the rain stopped and we had a 30 minute lunch break in there. Honestly, this Tour could have been better if it was a little bit organized and communicated to us properly. We were expecting to start with The Everglades but ended up taking the City Tour first. The fact the this is our first time in Miami and the tour we booked was a disappointment.
Never booking with Viator again!
Horrible logistics. Bad communication between company and tour guide. We didn't receive any contact info tour guide. We waited outside the hotel for pick up blindly. Driver showed up 20 min late and did not know clients' names.Unacceptable.Wouldn't recommend to others
This was the worst tour I have ever been on in my life and I travel a lot!
11/2 hours after my 12:30 hotel pickup, the tour still had not begun.
The bus was in poor condition- a very old Hop On Hop Off bus.
A door fell off the bus during the tour and the guide had to run back to retrieve it.
The guide was loud and obnoxious.
After the boat cruise portionof our tour- the only good part- I waited 15 minutes for the tour bus to come back and resume the tour.
I gave up and walked back to my hotel.
terrible tour, waited one hour on the double decker for no reason after the cruise! I booked this tour based on good reviews and are super disappointed. The city tour is just driving around on the double decker with 20 minutes stop at little Cuba. And then one hour free time at Bayside before the cruise. The cruise is okay. After the cruise we returned to the double decker full of people, they put two groups together and the driver disappear!!! Traveled on August 4, 2015 and I had to call the tour agency to ask them where the driver is. The driver didn't say anything to us and just close the door and lock us on the bus and disappear for the full hour!! Worst tour ever.
Ebers Thinge was good!
It was amazing !!
