I did the land and see tour while visiting Miami with 8 family members. It was a great tour, very reasonable rate, great service and a tour guide that was well informed and fun. We really enjoyed the experience and I would highly recommend it. We were picked up on time and everything went smoothly. The tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Obe the tour guide is the host with the most.
It was a great adventure. Only downfall may have been having to duck so much to avoid tree branches. My boyfriend ended up with a cut on his forehead from a tree branch slapping him in the face. A few ducks would have a been funny and acceptable. Overall it was a great tour. Would have liked to spend more time in Little Havanna. I would have preferred to eat in that area than the restaurant where we ended spending lunch. I would do it again.
It was a magnificent view all the way through. Highly recommended.
The only thing wrong with this tour was that we didn't get to see any aligators
The company chosen was Miami-Nice, which is actually Half price tickets and Tours.
This is probably the worst run company I have had the displeasure to deal with. Late for pickup, over an hour waiting once the picks were done, uninteresting commentary, no communication between bus and boat people actually resulted in a stand off between customers and boat staff because the bus company failed to distribute boat tickets.
very disappointed, poorly organized, numerous delays, booking was incorrect, there was a stop at a cigar store and lunch stop but these were never included in the description of the tour. The bus tour was narrated very well but half the time we were ducking from the tree branches.
Tour is not bad, just not my cup of tea. I'm not interested in celebrities' mansions.
This was an afternoon well spent! The tour guide on the bus was HILLARIOUS and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed the cruise as well. We were a little rushed at lunch because the tour was behind schedule, but overall it was a wonderful expreience.
The city tour and cruise were great but the tour operator, Half Price Tours, were extremely inefficient so much so that there was a lot of wasted time.
The tour and cruise would have received a higher rating if it wasn't for the inefficient tour operator.
We were asked to arrive at the tour operators site at 9, then we were asked to wait a half hour for the bus, then we waited on the bus for an hour. Starting a tour by wasting an hour sets a really bad mood to begin a leisure activity. Otherwise the guide was quite good...
City tour is a great way to see the main sights of Miami, the everglades airboat tour is short, but a good experience
Bus ride tour kind of weak and obvious to take to certain vendors. Boat trip was good. Wouldn't choose to waste this much time ever again.
city tour: very nice but the over-talkative and non-informative guide had a questionable level of English
airboat: very cool but extremely short
The land content was quite good, however the cruise offered very little and poor commentary. Only one side of the boat saw the things that were being pointed out and the main focus was to make money off the group....selling photos, food and drink.
We were picked up by a company called Half Price Tours the Viator Voucher had a different name. We used Double Decker Open Top buses and the whole experience was not too good.
The tour was way over booked. Then the rain happened which I know you can't control but you can control the booking numbers. Everyone that was upstairs came downstairs with no place to sit, it was standing room only and noone could move. Then at stops, no one wanted to get out and people were taking seats away from others then saving them for their fellow travelers. We got off early and took taxi back to hotel. It was a miserable experience. The tour guide was hard to hear and did NOTHING to control the crowds.
Tacky, touristy, incomplete, way disorganized and overbooked. They missed our pick-up time at the hotel. Had to wait for more than 30 min. at their office for the tour to begin. More than half of the group had to ride in the lower deck of the double decker... Why on earth would somebody ride a double-decker bus to ride downstairs with the exact same views as a city bus?! And, to add injury to insult, timeshare scam included in the boat ride. If you hail a cab and ask the driver to show you around, you'll get better value for your money.
The coach arrived 40 minutes late, we didn't know if it was going to turn up! In order to regain the time we didn't stop at a shopping snore which we should have stopped at for an hour, we the got dropped off and had to wait for our next coach which was a couple of hours, just told us where to wait with no paperwork or anything, the Everglades trip was also rushed, no time to look in the shop or get something to eat in the cafe, overal was okay but was disappointing to what we had hoped.
We were told we would be picked up at 8.30 and told to be 10 mins early, so at 8.20 we waited and waited, by 9 i started ringing the contact in Miami, it kept going to voicemail, which cost me a fortune, i rang continually, by 9.30 i rang Viator, I have never spoken to a ruder assistant in all my life, she couldn't care less and said there was nothing she could do, she told me to call back later, I asked her how much later did she want me to call back and how long did she think we should wait for the tour bus, or should we just go and try and book another, she said you won't get another tour this late and you've missed this one, brilliant considering we had 1 day in Miami prior to boarding a ship, I asked her if she could ring the tour operator and call me back to let me know what was happening, she said Listen to me, I will not be calling you back, now have a nice day she then hung up. So my advice would be NEVER EVER book with Viator. The bus did turn up at 9.45, I told them we had been waiting since 8.20 to which they replied we would never get here that early. The tour itself was chaotic with them taking us to an office to exchange our voucher for the ticket, with lots of people all at once there is quite a queue and nobody seems to know what is happening, the tour was boring with not a lot to see. I'm sure there are better ways to spend a day in Miami.
The tour left much to be desired. I expect to see many animals in the Everglades. We saw a puppy, only. The only excitement was the ride on the airboat. The following presentation also left to be desired. Alligators seemed anesthetized. Still had to pay to take a picture with a small alligator. This time we were disappointed with the proposed riding.
Very interesting bus ride-our guide was hilarious and he had the whole top floor of the bus in hysterics-low flying branches helped this too in certain areas-keep a tight hold of your hats!!!!
Cruise was lovely-very relaxing and a beautiful way to see where the rice and famous live
Bus tour was informative. Would liked to have been informed of more than 1 option for lunch. We were directed to 1 particular sea food resturaunt for luch prior to boat cruise. Boat cruise was excellent value, very informative.
very good! no the cruise we were expecting though
