I would recommend the trip to Portofino and Genoa. I added the trip while in Italy. The guide in Genoa was amazing. Great sites. Portofino is beautiful!

Doing what: Genoa and Portofino Day Trip from Milan
Fantastic tour. A great guide on the bus from Ilan and a very informative and enthusiastic guide on the walking tour in Genoa. The old town in Genoa is very interesting and the tour included a sampling of local produce which was a nice touch. On the day we wnet the tour group was small which was great. A lovely ferry to Portofino and adequate there. Would highly recommend.

Doing what: Genoa and Portofino Day Trip from Milan
Althoug the weather was not perfect, the trip was great. There were only six of us in the group and it felt like it was very personable. Our guide, I believe his name was Eddie, was great with a good sense of humor. It also was very informative and we learned a lot about the history of Genoa. Our only issue was that our tour ended in a small shop where they hoped we would buy something. It felt like we ended up in the gift shop.

Doing what: Genoa Shore Excursion: Genoa City Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
Wonderful way to see the city without walking excessively or paying for an esorted tour. Pickup point is very close to the Port so it ifs a doable tour for people with disabilities or other mobility issues. Cost of the tour if you purchase your ticket from the bus tour operator is $15 euros. The seating is comfortable and the open top level of the bus can be covered when it is raining. The audio describing the points of interest was great but not so good on a tour in Mallorca. Overall, great value.

Genoa great. Portofino a bit boring. Guide bit disinterested at times. Genoa guide was fabulous.

Doing what: Genoa and Portofino Day Trip from Milan
We loved the trip the guide was wonderful the only thing I would change is to much time in Genoa and not enough time on the boat or in Portafino or St Marg. which are beautiful towns would of loved having lunch in one of these towns much better then Genoa. But well worth the trip

Doing what: Genoa and Portofino Day Trip from Milan
This is a very perfect day trip from Milan. Genoa is a fantastic city although I found it to be slightly difficult to navigate even though I am very good with maps and directions. The first stop on the tour is seeing the city from a lookout which allows you to see the city unfold below you and down to the port. I skipped the local guided walking tour and went on my own to explore the city. I had done some research and there were a few places I wanted to see/spend extra time and places I wanted to try for lunch. You see so much on the drive to Portofino and the ferry ride is very nice. Portofino doesn't have much to see in terms of a town so here is what you absolutely must do when you get there...GO DIRECTLY TO CASTELLO BROWN and PAY THE 5 EURO ENTRANCE FEE. SPEND YOUR TIME THERE TAKING IN THE AMAZING VIEW!!! Just go right there, don't bother with the church or lighthouse...spend your time at the Castle enjoying the view.
