Best Beaches Around Montego Bay
By Viator, February 2014
Doctor’s Cave Beach – 300 yards of pristine sand, warm waters, and Caribbean sunshine – this beautiful beach is by far the most popular in Montego Bay, and if you’re looking for “idyllic” then this is what the doctor ordered. Purportedly fed by underground aquifers in addition to the sparkling sea, Doctor’s Cave gets its name from the supposed healing effects of these waters. Saltwater and sunshine – sounds pretty rejuvenating to me.
Walter Fletcher Beach (aka Aquasol) – This is Montego Bay’s best city beach, where you’ll find plenty of shade, calm surf, and lots of brightly colored umbrellas. The beach is also home to a small go cart track and you’ll find the locals came here to play. Come to Aquasol if you want to hit the beach for a good party.
Dead End Beach – is actually much more pleasant than the name suggests. And while the beach is nice and clam, the locals tend to come here to watch the airplanes on their final approach soar overhead. Why not post-up by the bar and join them?
Cornwall Beach – offers pure white sands, safe water, and easy access. This is a great but popular beach. Perfect for a safe and clean escape from the rigors of travel.
