Doing what: Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour

Worst tour - tour guide ruined this tour! Don't bother with this one - we didn't get out of the bus at the old city only at notre dame where it cost $5 each to go inside - very bad tour

Doing what: Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour

It was very nice being picked up and dropped back at our hotel after the tour, and the guide was engaging and informative and funny. Once we were picked up we were brought to the ticket booth where we had to wait in line for tickets even though we had purchased them on line, which was bothersome. Although it was advertised as a 3 hour tour, it was only 2 1/2 hours; for $45 each we wanted a full 3 hours! We did see the major sights, like Mount Royal and the Olympic Stadium and Village, but the majority of time is spent navigating city traffic while the driver pointed out various office buildings. We'd recommend the walking tour of Old Montreal and using public transportation to see Mount Royal and Notre Dame and the botanical gardens instead of this bus tour.

Doing what: Walking Tour of Old Montreal

In general, we liked it. There was a heat wave, so going with my three kids (ages 15/12/12) became a bit long, but we all were glad we went. One comment, although our tour host was good about walking pace, etc., he almost LOST US! We were coming out of the Notre Dame Basilica and I guess we were the last; I was looking around and thinking we had lost the group, when a man from the group waved. The tour guide, however, was already half-way down the street. Maybe a better way would be to stop outside the church where we first met for the tour and do a head count? By the way, his joke about why the man is actually collapsed in a woman's arms outside a hospital has been repeated and laughed at a dozen more times since we arrived home.

Doing what: Walking Tour of Old Montreal

Our guide was excellent and his knowledge made our trip that much better. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Montreal as a great way to learn about Notre Dame and Old Montreal's history and architecture.

Doing what: Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour

It was a good tour of the city. It covered a good variety of what I expected. There were a few things I didn't care for about the tour. There wasn't enough time spent on Old Montreal. It would have been nice to tour the Notre Dame. Also I was of the understanding that the tour would be in English only. But it was bilingual and therefore I don't believe the tour guide had enough time to explain more about the history, etc. of the buildings and area we were covering. Also, I was of the understanding that we would be on one of the open topped buses. Because it was a greyhound type of bus and i was sitting on the wrong side of the bus, I was unable to see a lot of the Mount Royal area since it was on the other side of the bus.

Doing what: Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour

Tour only allocated 5 min to take pictures of a quite distant St Joseph Oratory. Since Notre Dame is right downtown and very accessible, less time can be allocated to this site, and that time re allocated to other more distant attractions.

Really friendly tour guide and good tour. Loved inside Notre Dam. Would tour with this company again.

Doing what: Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour

This was the absolute worst use of my limited time spent in Montreal. The tour guide was rude, boring, and put my guest and I to sleep. There were not 200 points of interest visited as advertised and the only highlight of the tour was a short visit to Notre Dame Basilica. I would have faired better by getting a tour guidebook from the visitor's center and taking the metro to the sites of interest. To anyone contemplating taking this tour, don't! Save your money!!!

Doing what: Walking Tour of Old Montreal

Well worth the time if you've never been to Old Montreal. Our guide was chatty, informative and had a sense of humor. Our group was apparently quite large but still able to navigate the streets safely. I think just the tour inside the Basilica of Notre Dame itself was worth the price of admission. Our guide also offered suggestions for other activities, places to dine, etc. Happy we did this.

Very nice tour guide, enjoyed the historical sites. Would have liked to get inside Notre Dame but had a good time walking around and learning about the area.

Doing what: Montreal City Hop-on Hop-off Tour

My goal was to see Notre Dame and St. Joseph Oratory. The bus did not show up at Notre Dame as scheduled, so I did not get to see the oratory. I was disappointed.

Doing what: Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour

Great tour, opportunity to see a lot of Montreal in a short span of time. We were given a half hour to spend at the Notre Dame Basilica which was great! We went on the tour on the first morning of our trip, a wonderful way to familiarize yourself with the major sites in Montreal.

Nice overview of Montreal, but we would have liked more historic background. Our driver was bright and friendly. We were a bit surprised that Notre Dame required another payment for admission.

Doing what: Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour

We took this trip 12/24. Very few people on the bus. Tour guide was fun, full of info, and kept it lively. Had to pay extra to tour Notre Dame. Tour ended 30 minutes early. Not a great value for the money, but interesting and informative.

Doing what: Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour

The tour was excellent and the guide was superb. He was hilarious and made the tour much more fun. He would stop at places and stand up and give us details about history of the attraction etc. Very clear and loud as well. This is a good tour if you are short on time and without a car. Tour takes you to many attractions such as Notre Dame Basilica, St. Joseph's Oratory, Montreal Tower & Biodome, Mount Royal.
