The tour was fun and informative. Our host Kevin was awesome. He was very personable and knowlegable and made the tour that much better. I recommend taking this tour if your in Munich on vacation as the tour ends in a happening spot and the world famous Hofbrauhaus.

Amanda was absolutely fantastic! Actually - the Radius, the tour company, was fantastic all over! I did 3 of their tours and was pleased with them. She was personable, chatty and open to all your questions - and exceedingly patient with my dad who's the king of annoying questions. She brought us around town and filled our heads with info, our mouths with beer and our bellies with a ridiculous assortment of sausages. The Hofbrauhaus was absolutely packed on a Tuesday night, but it only took us a few minutes to score a seat in the main room, or call ahead for a reservation (you should be there by 10PM) at one of the other rooms. A fun way to end our Munich stay!

Doing what: Munich City Hop-on Hop-off Tour
The tour was amazing, the guide spoke perfect German and English and was able to keep up with both versions of the tour in time with everything that we were passing. I would of liked it if the tour had someone who could go with you to the Hofbrauhaus enlightened you on the different beers, food, etc. Other than that though I will definitely be going on this tour again, I ended up getting a quick look at the summer palace and then left only to find my way back by walking, which was accompanied by the many beautiful scenes that Munich had to offer. Five stars!

The beginning of the tour was disconcerting as we were late but this soon changed as Kevin our guide was waiting for us with a glass of beer.We first went to a beer museum and brewery -Augustiner Braustaber where we got to sample 3 different beers and hear about the origin of beer and Oktoberfest.Kevin also gave us a lot of information. We then went to Hofbrauhaus where we had a delicious buffet consisting of cold meat,cheese,white sausage,pate,pretzel,rye bread and more beer. We experienced a real feel of the city of Munich and learned about the history of beer and Oktoberfest. We had a great guide-informative,inclusive,welcoming,a great sense of humour with great stories to tell. PROST.

The tour guide was very pleasant and personable and worked very hard to make for a pleasant evening for everyone. In addition to the narrative of the tour, she took dinner and drink orders and coordinated the food service at the Hofbrauhaus for our group. We were in Munich during the 2nd week of Oktoberfest and its likely we could not have visited the Hofbrauhaus without this tour. That said, we are not sure we'd recommend this tour. The dinner at Hofbrauhaus was reasonably good, but service was poor. The waiter was not a happy person and appeared to "fuss" at our guide frequently about orders and food delivery. Once seated, it took 30 minutes for our beer to be served and another 30 minutes for the entree. Obviously Hofbrauhaus was packed and it was extremely hot with no air circulation. The music was enjoyable but hard to hear due to the volume of people celebrating and drinking. The brief stop of the hotel bar for a cocktail was a bit rushed, lasting about 20 minutes, due to the lateness of dinner and the need to proceed to the Olympic Tower. We arrived to find the elevator operator upset at our delayed arrival and he displayed a very rude and arrogant attitude to the tour guide. Our stay at the top observation deck lasted less than 10 minutes. The tour concluded back at the main Train Station after midnight. I booked this tour because of favorable reviews and I feel our experience was due to the delays and poor service at the Hofbrauhaus, and felt the overall value of what we paid and received was lacking. It certainly was not the fault of the tour guide.

It appears that the Hofbrauhaus is a "must see" for any visitors to Munich, so this tour was a great way to combine that with some evening sightseeing. The bavarian dance show at the Hofbrauhaus was kind of brief and not very impressive, but many significant sights were observed during the rest of the tour. The Olympic tower was great at night, and the late-night drink at a hotel bar was a god way to end the evening. Definitely worthwhile.

Fast paced tour. Hofbrauhaus was nice, wish we could have stayed there longer. The nightclub was just a hotel bar that was empty. It was disappointing. The Olympic tower was a nice trip with good views.

The beer and the food were great. Our tour guide, Amanda, was a little bit awkward but was overall very friendly and informative. The "meal" is more of a large German appetizer platter shared among everyone in the group so don't expect a full sit-down style meal. Also you are responsible for buying your beer at dinner so bring a little cash with you. The tour of the beer museum ran a little long and made it a bit hard to stay awake after a couple beers and a belly full of heavy German food. The Hofbrauhaus was a blast and my favorite part of the tour. We stayed after with a few other couples from our tour until almost midnight. Definitely recommend sitting in one of the empty stammtisch if you're allowed. The regulars seated around and the band you will provide a ton of entertainment!

Guide was fun and knowledgeable. Met some great people in our group and had beer with them at the end. The guide was not feeling very well and could not go to the final destination with us (Hofbrauhaus). The museum was much better than I thought it would be. It's in a very small house/tavern/restaurant that is very old.

My travel buddy and I were very fortunate to be the only ones on the tour with Amanda. It was a blast learning about not only the history behind Octoberfest and the city, but you get to taste beer, go through the beer museum and drink more beer! I love how you finish up at the Hofbrauhaus where you can stay until closing! Great way to kick off your first evening in the city! Thanks Amanda for a great tour!

Munich in the Evening and supper at the Hofbrauhaus was excellent. We enjoyed it very much. The Olympia Park gave me an excellent view of the city of Munich.

Again, this was run by a "Sight Seeing" tour group, and that was what it was. A bunch of sight seeing - drive by - without much substance. The dinner at the Hofbrauhaus was a major disappointment. A piece of pork in a bowl with some gut of some sort. That was it. Would have been better if the tour had charged more and given us an opportunity to have a real meal. The food looked great, but we were not able to order something we wanted.
