Excellent tour for the money. The castles were gorgeous and the ride was smooth. Our tour guide was retry knowledgable and witty and it made the long bus ride interesting. Worth it to see these wonderful castles up close and learn about them and the architecture. I would highly recommend this tour.
The day was perfect and the guide made the commentary interesting by injecting humour. The Linderhof Castle was special. Unfortunately, was unable to get a good photo of Nueschwanstein due to scaffolding. Apart from that, this is a highly recommended tour.
Wow! This tour was a slow-paced venture to several castles. We didn't feel rushed, and our guide was able to answer our questions.
Wonderful trip, this is the one of the best parts of Bavaria:) Beautiful nature and the Royal Castles are MUST!!!! The trip is organised wonderful, easy place to find the starting point and enough time to see most places!
Bridgette was our guide and she had this thing down to a fine science. The itinerary was well laid out but a little rushed at Linderhof and the small town in between. We ordered a large purchase and had it shipped at the shop we stopped at. They way over charged my credit card and took the entire time we were in that town trying to fix it. It took Bridgette going behind the counter and doing it herself to get the issue resolved. So I missed being able to take in the charming little town because of it. Bridgette saved the day though. Castles were breath taking and an experience of a lifetime. My only complaint was that a lot of Neuschwanstein's outside is under construction taking away from the effect only slightly.
Our tour guide was very strict, she even yelled at us about getting on the bus without a ticket even though we were told to and she was not by our bus. Bring exact change! She will also yell at you for that. The sights are definitely worth seeing so if you can deal with a strict German tour guide book this trip!
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the tram took longer than expected to reach the departure point of the tour. I tried to contact the tour office with the number given on the tickets, it just went to a voice mail saying they were not open. We got there 3 mins before the departure time. However the tour guide was about to resell our tickets. This was most disappointing especially in that, twice, a family held up the bus at two of the venues: first for 15 mins then 35 mins with no consequences- a total of 50 mins .... we just had to sit on the bus and wait for them..... The tour itself was good, as stated in the description. A good opportunity to see the castle. Although the shopping/tea stop in the town could be longer.
Castles well worth seeing - would have liked longer at Linderhof. For Neuschwanstein tour we were advised to eat at the restaurant beside the carpark. In retrospect would rather have eaten at the restaurant half way up the long climb. Should then have gone to the bridge for fab. view and back to the castle in time for tour. Tour itself herded like cattle with little info or time to look around ( not the fault of Viator at all just the way it is!)
Overall worth doing - comfortable bus and good guide.
Brigette was a great guide and made the day fun and informative. Even though it was a full day, really enjoyed the castles - even the great long walk up the hill to Neuschwanstein Castle!!
Great tour, the guide new her stuff she provided very interesting information and the sights were great. It was a fun day, don't forget your camera for this tour.
Superb trip! A must for anyone visiting Munich. The coach set off at 08:30 precisely and arrived back within 10 minutes of the estimated time! The guide was very professional and informative. I really cannot find a fault with this tour. I will certainly be using this site in the future.
Our tour of the Royal Castles was outstanding our tour guide Nancy did a great job. We did see Linerhof while it was snowing. the weather was better at Neuschwanstein. The bus driver did a great job also. Highly recommend this trip.
Knowledgeable and courteous guides, good buses and enough time for rests. Be prepared for a huge amount of walking and climbing at the Newschwanstein castle, even with the carriage ride to the top! The stop at Omerabagau provided a great opportunity to shop for souvenirs.
