The dinner at Hofbrauhaus was fun for all.
Hitler used this existing monument as the site for the famous book burning, which happened right here in Munich and not Berlin for those Indiana Jones fans. Hitler and his brown shirts stirred the nearby university students to eliminate all immoral books and those written by Jews.
This plaque is on the wall inside the arch way of the new Town Hall leading off Marieplatz. This plaque notes that the Nazi Party initiated a world catastrophe, i.e. WWII, and caused millions of Europeans to become refugees. 143 000 refugees moved into bombed out Munich at the end of WWII.
