If you love wine, you won't want to miss the chance to visit the famous Sonoma Valley wineries on a day trip from San Francisco. Along with nearby Napa Valley, Sonoma has developed a reputation for producing some of the best wines in America. Sonoma's wineries are spread across a number of valleys including Sonoma Valley, Russian River Valley and Dry Creek Valley, known for its zinfandels. Prominent Sonoma producers include Gallo, BR Cohn, D'Agostini and Ravenswood. Some Sonoma producers offer tastings for free, others charge a small fee, although the tastings are mostly a good value way of tasting top quality wine in beautiful and stylish settings.
For lovers of great wine and beautiful scenery, a day tour from San
Francisco takes you to where America's most famous wine labels come
from. Experience the finest wine in northern California on a tour to both the Napa and Sonoma regions. Take a day trip from San Francisco to wineries including Domaine Chandon, Andretti Winery, V. Sattui and Rutherford Ranch. Or take a two-day tour to these wineries combined, with a visit to the famous island of Alcatraz on the second day.
