The commentary was good with authentic music whilst riding around the streets of Naples. However we decided to get off at the archeological museum and worked out the time the next bus would arrive to continue on our tour. No bus arrived so we waited another 45 minutes for the next one and still no bus! We finally got a taxi back to the castle at the cost of ten euros in order to get on another tour. Due to the delay we only managed two of the three tours on offer.
Informative, interesting, and enjoyable - a great way to begin to get the feel of the city before more in depth investigating.
You cannot hop on hop off when the next bus only comes two hours later. In other cities, your tours are more frequent
Staff seemed more interested in standing around talking then leaving at the scheduled times. We waited 20min on the 1st bus, then 25min on the 2nd bus. This made us very hesitant in getting off at the different stops as we knew the buses wouldn't arrive as timetabled. Not that there was much to see at the stops anyways. Very unprofessional.
I did not care for this tour at all. The city was very dirty and I did not feel safe to walk around and explore. We also Googlemapped to find where the starting poing was (Piazza Municipal) and was very confused. The starting point was Castle Nuovo (the one in the picture) and we had to take a cab from the train station to get there. We had carefully planned out our train ride times from Rome to Naples to make it to the tour when it first started, only to find out they totally changed the times listed on Viator. So DON'T go by this!! I would not recommend this tour to anyone.
Able to get onto all the routes and found the attendants very helpful in assisting visitors to find their way around etc. This was quite a fast paced HOHO though compared to some others in Italy.
The route for line B was beautiful, but there was no good place to hop off and enjoy the scenary. Plus, we did not want to get off the bus at any stop because next bus would be coming much later. We stayed in the bus during the entire tour. Line A was not interesting. There really was not much to hop off for. The tour did not cover much, and we had to wait quite some time after circuit B and before circuit A - the two lines did not intersect except where they both start.
Sorry, this was a really bad experience. Naples traffic was so bad we sat for ages in fumes and noise. Not your fault but we were glad when it was oover
Some of the routes better than others. staff didnt seem particularly interested. The Bay of Naples is beautiful so the tours that climbed up on all sides gave great views. Old town tour ,disappointing commentary. So be selective about which ones. Probably better to walk around old town.
Have used Viator many many times but this bus tour was not good because one of the stops had been discontinued even though the sign was still there and we waited for over 30 mins. Once we found another stop we waited for it for over 30 mins also. Timing for the Naples bus needs to be improved. Also there MUST be a stop near the central train station. The actual start point requires a taxi or bus to get there and yet the train station is the central transport hub.
