Doing what: Naples City Hop-on Hop-off Tour
We planned to pick up the tour at the Duomo stop, which we understood to be an option and which according to our information was closest to the Napoli train station. Apparently this is no longer a stop for City Signtseeing but only a "shuttle" stop. We were allowed on the shuttle but there was no commentary, everyone conversed in Italian. We got off at the archeological museum, looked at all the exhibits, and waited at the City Sightseeing sign outside. When a shuttle arrived, the driver told us we needed to find a different bus, like the picture. He gave us a brochure and so we waited and waited for the "real" bus to arrive. We had hoped to use this tour to get an overview of Naples but after seeing only the section from the archeological museum to the Piazza Municipio we were told to get off the bus. We waited around at the Piazza and finally another bus took us a through some of the route we had already seen and dropped us off, saying it was the end of the tour. Our intention to see the city was dashed we could have taken a cab to the museum for the cost of this "tour".

A1 for people who want to control their own time visiting. No pressure like organized tours!

Very difficult to find. The location was vague. The sign for Piazza Municipio was found 1 and a half hours after getting into Naples train station. I wanted to take in the long tour but did not have enough time because I had a train at 7pm.

Doing what: Naples City Hop-on Hop-off Tour
This is the only way to see this hectic city where the streets are full of cars and people.

Doing what: Naples City Hop-on Hop-off Tour
At the season we went, there were no longer three different bus tours and these are far between in terms of frequency. On rainy days, even if not raining at that moment, the number of passengers are limited to the number of seats in the lower section so that we tried to get a seat in the morning and not able to get seats. We did manage to get on board late in the afternoon so that we were not able to take advantage of the other route.

Tour was okay, bus guide was quite rude and not very helpful. Not your fault but this very well might be the dirtiest city I have ever been in and I will not return.

We were interested in seeing Caravaggio's painting in Pio Monte della Misericordia and the bus let us off close to Via Tribunale where the church is located nearby. The museum at the church was a bonus where they had a cold drink and a clean restroom.

Doing what: Naples City Hop-on Hop-off Tour
The tour is a good idea for people with a decent sense of direction that want to explore Naples on their own. Overall we enjoyed the tour and the option of either riding or getting off was convenient as our group age range varied. I was disappointing that one of the routes was closed the day we visited the city. Also, the wait between buses was overlong. We waited over an hour for a bus at one point. However, the staff was helpful and friendly and the tour was a lot of fun.

Doing what: Naples City Hop-on Hop-off Tour
Bus stops hard to find, some stops changed or eliminated. We got a new map from tourist info office. Bus schedules also changed from what was advertised on the site to pick-ups every 90 minutes, too long a wait. Lastly, number to call for help went to nationwide office in Florence, Italy. Buses were clean and on time and allowed excellent viewing of sites.

A good way to see the city but the seat we were sitting in did not have a good reception and we did not get to hear anything about the city.

If you do it early or late in the year, take a fleece! It was fab but got very cold in early afternoon.
