3 Days in Negril: Suggested Itineraries

This tour was absolutely amazing from start to end. The Black River tour was perfect! The stop at the YS falls was only an hour so it was a little difficult to get in the zip line ride that enticed us, but it was gorgeous. The Appleton rum tour was amazing, loved all the rums we tasted. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining; the bus driver, highly skilled! We did NOT forget to tip them. Thank you!!!

All of the elements of the tour were fine however the transportation was lacking. Instead of having a regular tour van, they rescheduled us with a local driver and shoved 10 of us into a small minivan. Some people had to sit on laps to accommodate. On top of that, there was no one onsite to provide us with an explanation. We paid $178 to feel like a sardine all day -- totally not worth it!

I would highly recommend this tour. Black River Safari and YS Falls were very scenic. The Appleton Rum Estate was very informative and the rum was great. We had an excellent driver. It was a day well-spent.

Although the tour was informative and fun, the bus should be replaced or upgraded. I didn't feel safe on those mountain roads and would like to have had a seat belt.

Swimming with the dolphins was a lot of fun. The sting ray presentation was interesting and the camels were an added bonus. The commercial photos were overpriced and the driver forgot to pick me up in the morning, but I was able to join a later group.

Although we did have a great time on the trip and would recommend it to others a few things should be pointed out to people booking it in future. We were a little disappointed by our time at the YS falls as it was too short. There was not enough time to swim and have a proper look around. It was a real shame as it was such a lovely spot but found our selves rushing and not enjoying it. When booking the trip we assumed that the meal included would be traditional, or at least have a local/traditional option but unfortunately it was burgers and chips. With little choice for the vegetarians amongst us. Also when tipping at the end it seemed that both the tour guide and the driver wanted to be tipped individually. This made the end of the trip very awkward as most people had combined the tip and while they handed it to one the other would reach out as well. Having said that all the guides throughout the day were very friendly, helpful and informative. Overall we did have a really enjoyable day.

Very simple and yet exiting tour. We took this independent tour through Viator rather than our cruise organizer, because it was cheaper. It was easy to find the driver who met us with his own BMW at the harbor. He was very helpfull and positive and we ended up having a personal trip to the attraction with him. The caves were interesting with bats and even small snakes. The bottom of the caves is well worth the 65 stair climb. The Bond movie live and let die had parts filmed in here.......

Both the driver and tour guide were very professional, helpful and our tour guide gave us a lot of information as we travelled about landmarks along the way. While the tour was longer than we had expected we still would recommend your tour company to our friends

This was a very nice day. We were picked up early 8:00am at our resort. We had a lovely tour guide Lisa. She was friendly and professional. The driver was excellent at handling the bus! We headed to the Black River Safari. This part was fun our guide loves his job and enjoys taking about the birds and wildlife. YS Falls was amazing. It is very beautiful. The guides are freindly and will take your pictures as you explore and swim in the falls. We enjoyed this part of the trip very much. The lunch provided was very good. There were several choices for lunch. So, after exploring the falls area lunch was served. There are nice and clean changing rooms by the natural pools so you can change out of your swim gear. Then on to Appleton rum tour after lunch. This is the furthest part of the trip. It is well worth the drive. We toured the factory, learned the history, and sampled different rums. There is a rum store there...but honestly wait until you get to the airport the rum is cheapest there. (You can pack it in your carry on.) Then back on the bus to head back to our resort. We returned to our resort about 6:15 pm.The bus was clean and comfortable. The drive back was long and bumpy. But that would be the only negative, can't help the roads are rough. This was a wonderful day. It truely was worth the time.

Sydney picked us up right on time. We told him where we wanted to shop and he did his very best to assist us. We shopped at the city square where the shops are very nice...we did some open market shopping and grocery shopping. All the while Sydney was just a short distance away if we needed assistance. Then, we went to
Rick's Cafe. We were dropped off at the entrance. We had about two hrs there. We watched the cliff jumpers then enjoyed a lovely sunset dinner on the top floor of
Rick's. The food was excellent, service was great. We enjoyed this tour a lot. When we were finished we went to the entrance and there was Sydney waiting for us. This tour is highly recommended and ask for Sydney when they call to comfirm your reservation...you will have a wonderful time!
