Best Oysters in New Orleans
Written by Hudson, USA, December 2012
Sure, ask a hundred people and you’re likely to get a hundred answers: where are the best oysters in New Orleans? This town is rife with foodies and if you’re one of the visiting tribe, consider the question up for grabs; where the best oysters are is all a matter of opinion, I’m afraid. That being said, like anything, some tastes always rise to the top of the bunch, so to speak, so if you’re looking to grub on some deliciously slimy invertebrates, well, here’s how to go about sniffing them out.
Head down to Acme Oyster House on 724 Iberville Street and talk
turkey—err, that is to say, talk oyster. Sure, it’s just as filled with
tourists as locals, but it’s here that you’ll be in the heart of New
Orleans (the French Quarter) and be able to rub elbows with a like-minded oyster-slurping crew.
