We were promptly picked up at our hotel and had a really wonderful guide through out the trip and at both mansions. The trip to the bayou was very interesting and the lunch was very good. Lovely day with many history lessons attachedd!!!

Doing what: Small-Group Airboat Ride and Plantation Tour from New Orleans
Airboat guide and ride were great, bayou was beautiful, he showed us some amazing animals and sites.
Plantation tour was weak. Our guide was poorly prepared, uninterested, grew annoyed when people asked questions. The property we visited was historically important (site of trials for slave rebellion) yet this portion of its history was only addressed secondarily.

Doing what: Swamp and Bayou Sightseeing Tour from New Orleans
Very Enjoyable and good value. New Orleans is great and this is part of it. The Captain was funny and had us laughing most of the trip.

Doing what: Grand Tour of Cajun Country
The tour we took was great! Our guide was Ginny and she was knowledgeable about the history and folklore of the plantations we visited and New Orleans as well. I wish we would have had a bit more time at Oak Alley. Lunch was delicious and the guided portion of the tour was interesting, there was just no time to walk in the yard or explore the rest of the grounds. The airboat ride in the afternoon was also great! The swamp was beautiful and interesting. Our guide went out of his way to catch an alligator for us to examine and hold. My only complaint was there was so much to see and learn that the afternoon felt a little rushed. I didn't want it to end!

Our party of 6 had a truly memorable day. The tour had just the right mix of history, adventure, culture and humor. Our tour guide, Stanley, was familiar with every aspect of the region, its history, culture and many anecdotal stories. The airboat portion is not to be missed. This was 2 hours of thrills that exceeded airboat rides that we had taken in other regions. The operator was familiar with the best locations to encounter the wildlife of the area. We would highly recommend this tour and to anyone traveling to the area and are certain to avail ourselves of your tours in other areas that we visit in the future.
Thank you,
Debbie and Steve Horowitz

Awesome ride, very knowledgeable guide, took us deep into the bayous and caught a 1.5 yoa baby gator and took us within about 3 feet of an 11.5 foot alligator. Would do it again for longer periods of time.

This was a great day out. Out guide, Joe, was friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area. Everything was decently organized and we had plenty of time on our own at the plantations to walk around and visit the gift shops. The lunch provided was delicious and offered a good selection of traditional cuisine. The two different plantations offered a varied perspective of life back in the day. The trip to the bayou was a nice way to finish the day.

Such fun! The gators were out but because of the cool weather they were not very active. I would recommend taking this tour on a warm, sunny day.
