Doing what: Grand Tour of Cajun Country
Beautiful day to tour the Oak Alley and Laura Plantations, as well as enjoy the ecosystem of a swamp area with our knowledgeable guides. Muriel picked us up @ our hotel promptly and provided a wonderful commentary all during the travel time in her van, with her beautiful French accent. That was a bonus. The meal at Oak Alley was enjoyable and our traveling companions enhanced the experience. We highly recommend spending a day taking in these sights!....Dwight and Jo Bitker, MN

Doing what: Swamp and Bayou Sightseeing Tour from New Orleans
My daughter and I enjoyed this tour despite the rain. The weather was not conducive to many animal sightings but there were some alligators. Our captain was really good at spotting the alligators 2 of which were small. It was interesting for the history and topography we got from the captain. The small alligator on the boat was so cute.

it was a good tour. The guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable. Jet boat was fantastic even considering how cold it was that day. The least enjoyable was the first plantation where we ate, but the second plantation made up for the first.

Really enjoyed our day. We were picked up promptly but there then was quite a bit of driving around to pick up other guests.
The tour of the bayou was great, the gut who took us was very knowledgable and keen to share stories of his life with us. We saw bald eagles, turtles, snakes and alligators.
We then visited oak alley for lunch. Food was good and plenty of it. The house was beautiful and we had plenty of time to wander around after the official tour.
We then moved on to Laura. We loved this place. We were lucky to get the owner to do our tour. He was so interesting.
The only major gripe that I have is the comfort of the mini bus. They advertise as small groups with a maximum of thirteen people. Well, on our tour there were thirteen and we were way to cramped on the back.

This tour was great fun. Our guide Jason was very knowledgable and pointed out all of the wildlife along the way. We saw countless "gators" even with it being an overcast day. The boat was open at all sides so everyone had a good view. The end surprise of getting to hold a baby gator and take as many photos as you like was fantastic. The tour departure location was easy to find and our driver was also very entertaining. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Bad experience!! The 2 hr boat ride was 45 min. Then we waited 40 min for the bus to pick us up.

Doing what: Small-Group Airboat Ride and Plantation Tour from New Orleans
It was a lovely warm sunny day but dress for a windy great ride on the airboat. Both guides as well as the van driver were very informative. We got to see several alligators sunning as well as a well preserved and historic plantation. Two different tours at a good price.

Our driver picked us up right on time and was full of history as he drove us from venue to venue. We especially liked the two plantations which provided a substantial history of the slaves. It gave a nice balance to the day.

I loved the Laura plantation the best. the information was interesting and entertaining.....good tour guide. the oak alley plantation was great too and even though i saw no alligators(too cold) on the swamp tour, the tour guide was such a great story teller and he made it fun! Jenny, the driver, is too concerned with staying on schedule. she stressed me out before we even got on the road but i did not let her ruin this for me. she need to chill out!!!
