After Sunrise

At Belongil especially, there's plenty of human activity around sunrise, with yoga (salute the sun, anyone?) everywhere to be seen. After that the beach gets deserted again for a while, until the "day shift" turns up.

Boulder Beach

A mile or two south of Lennox Head, Boulder Beach is an antidote to the soft sandy expanses of just about every other beach in the region. It's usually deserted, and it's always beautiful.

At first glance there's not much animal life on these beaches, but that's totally wrong! Teeming with life would be the right phrase, with loads of great photo ops, especially at dawn and dusk.

Early morning at Belongil, you see loads of these little art works. In all my years going there, I've never once spotted the little crab that makes them!
