One Guide tried too hard to be funny and he wasn't. Buses very crowded and sometimes hard to get on. Difficult to locate the downtown starting location.
Uptown tour guide was excellent, funny and informative.
Loved seeing Manhattan on night tour - guide was informative and played great music related to NY.
The initial down town tour guide was great but then we had to change buses and tour guide at Battery Park. The second down town tour guide was difficult to hear, he appeared bored and disinterested in even being on the bus.
Tour itself good, organisation of buses bit hap hazard, staff not very helpful.

Great way to see NYC a little frustrating being in the traffic, but then its NYC after all. recommend the Bed Buses.
Hop OnOff is an excellent way to understand the layout of the city. However, NYC is a very congested city, so don't expect to get from Point A to Point B on a timely basis.
So in other words, sit back and enjoy of views and tour guide comments.
My hat off to the drivers - they must have the patience of Job to drive NYC traffic daily.
A fantastic way to get your bearings. Guides were all different but equally knowledgible and entertaining. The Brooklyn night tour wasa highlight. Stops well sited for visiting all the main attractions.
What a brilliant tour.David the guide tended to ramble on a bit but the day was absolutely first class.The lunch was excellent as was the harbour tour.We were able to see a large portion of the city with lots of information and chances to get off the coach and have time to look around places for ourselves.The finale was a trip to Top Of The Rock which was amazing .I am slightly claustrophobic and ha concerns about the lift but as it only takes 30seconds(yes I counted them!) to get from ground to 69th floor it was well worth the trauma.For its content and for the value for money I would higly recommend this tour
Generally good, some of the tour guides we had were not very knowledgeable about what we were seeing (and as we went though Hell's Kitchen one was OBSESSED with the food ratings guide)
We had many tours with Viator during our trip to Italy and France and we were very pleased with Viator's guides. Unfortunately, our experience with a whole day tour in NY was not so positive. It wasn't bad, but the guide was not so energetic and seemed to be out of energy. It was Easter day and the fist thing that he said when we finally started our guide was: "Do you see that parade down the street? You should be there, not in this bus". I took it as "welcome".
The tour was great. Very informative, well designed. However the tour guide, a croatian man was quite rude and condescending. he informed us to ask questions and then when I did, he mocked me in front of the others, when it was he who was not listening and understanding the question that I was asking him. We missed out on the rockafella building, as it was Busy according to him and said we could use our tickets at a different time. When i tried to explain to him that that was our last day, he cut me off and embarrassed me in front of everyone, so we missed out. There was nothing wrong with the tour or the company, just the tour guide. he embarrassed a few others a long the way too.
Great tour. Take you to all the good sites. Freezing on top of the bus in April so dress warm (hats and gloves)!. Knowledgeable tour guides. Reason I haven't marked higher is very hard to know exactly where their stops are and sometimes we had to wait ages to get back on.
Fantastic day with Marc. Would definately recommend for anybody who wants to orientate themselves with the city, save time and have photos to remember. This was a highlight start to a great adventure.
Enjoyed a good day of sightseeing with a knowledgeable guide. Felt a bit rushed at times but good intro to NY. Lunch was OK- limited menu and no dessert. Overall Ok vale for money and recommended
Some of the guides were very good, others not so good. The 'night light' tour was a waste of time.
