Doing what: New York CityPass
Loved this pass and so easy to use! Definitely worth the money - got to jump queues wherever we went - including the top of Rockafeller Centre (in the day) and the Empire State Building (at night) ... so we could get the skyline at different times! This included a 2 hour harbour lights / sunset cruise and it was beautiful .. even a bar on board so you can have a beer while watching the lights of New York switch on. What I loved was that there is a charge to see all these places (some are quite high) but with this pass we had already paid in advance so didn't have to worry about whether we could afford it or not. Highly recommend!!

Doing what: Empire State Building Tickets - Observatory and Optional Skip the Line Tickets
My adult daughter and I planned a weekend trip to NYC. We purchased tickets for the Empire State Building and were encouraged by a friend to do the Express-Sip the Line Tickets. Although more expensive, it was really worth it. We were treated so well and had more time to enjoy the fabulous view. Would highly recommend purchasing these tickets off the internet when planning your NYC get-away.

Doing what: Empire State Building Tickets - Observatory and Optional Skip the Line Tickets
I felt like a VIP!! As my grandson and I walked right to the front of the 3 very long lines at the Empire State Building I realized it was well worth every extra penny for the express pass!! Definitely the way to go especially during busy tourist season, we were to the top in about 7 minutes without the pass would be on line for hours..

Doing what: Empire State Building Tickets - Observatory and Optional Skip the Line Tickets
Enjoyed our visit to the Empire State bldg.
The $22 per person was good price, however there was no priority to go in front of the waiting line as it is claimed in the pre purchased ticket ticket by Viator. we had to stand in line like everyone else.
Sincerely, Victor Fabian

Can't beat the Empire State building for views of New York City. Plenty of photo opportunities and a very enjoyable time spent there.

Doing what: Empire State Building Tickets - Observatory and Optional Skip the Line Tickets
The weather on the day we had booked for was appaling with 0 visability at the top of the building. The staff at the Empire State were so helpful. Told us straight away we could use our tickets another day when the weather had improved. They stamp a :-( on your ticket and then you can come back anytime in the next 12 months. Once we did get up there the view is AMAZING. I would recommend the ticket that bypasses the queue though as we waited 1 1/2 hours before getting in the lift.

Doing what: Empire State Building Tickets - Observatory and Optional Skip the Line Tickets
smartest thing I did was to buy the "Skip the Line Ticket Upgrade" money well worth spending, it saved us almost 2 hours in lines. The people working at The Empire State Building gave us priority service and we made it to the observation deck in approx 15 minutes.

Doing what: Empire State Building Tickets - Observatory and Optional Skip the Line Tickets
It was a blustery and rainy day, but we still enjoyed our visit. We took our 12 yr old granddaughter for her 1st trip to the Empire State building and she can't wait to visit again. We all enjoyed it so much and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

Doing what: Empire State Building Tickets - Observatory and Optional Skip the Line Tickets
Skip the Line tickets was worth every penny. I recommend it completely. We were treated very well by all and so enjoyed the views. In our prior year, we went to Top of the Rock instead of Empire State due to the lines at the Empire State. With the Skip the Line Tickets, we enjoyed the Empire State views more than Top of the Rock.

Doing what: New York CityPass
If you like museums and art galleries, the New York CityPass is a great way to visit the major museums in NYC over a 9 day period. Also included is access to a couple of the famous sights (eg Empire State Building) - but carefully check the details to see if this is the Pass for you and whether it offers the options your are looking for. As a visitor to NYC for a week, it offered me good value for money and was cheaper than purchasing individual tickets to each venue. It also allowed me to bypass the long entry and ticket queues. I still had to queue but the line was much shorter than the general entry queue.

Doing what: New York CityPass
If you plan on doing the usual tourist activities on this pass: Empire State, Top of the Rock, Cruise to the Statue of Liberty etc get this pass it makes life so much easier.
Simply print out the order you receive once you have purchased then take the print out to your first destination of choice.
This will then be exchanged for a booklet with all the other activity tickets inside its really that easy.
I was worried it would not be valid or something but don't worry its really common in New York.

Doing what: New York CityPass
Do not go to NYC without the NYC Pass! When it says you go to the front of the line, no kidding, YOU GO TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE! There was at least a two-hour line at The Empire State Building, with this pass, swoosh, right up to the top, wait time: 10 minutes. Same at MoMA and everywhere else we went. It was so worth it!

Doing what: New York CityPass
Thought that this was really good value for money. We used the MET, MOMA, and Natural History Museum ticket, together with Top of the Rock and Empire State Building and the circle line cruise. If we had purchase tickets separately would have cost twice what we paid. We had 8 nights in New York so felt that it was good value for money.

Doing what: Empire State Building Tickets - Observatory and Optional Skip the Line Tickets
My visit to the Empire State Buliding was on a Sunday morning at about 1100 and it was very quiet. There were almost no queues for security or at the ticket office, and having collected my ticket I was in the lift on my way to the 86th Floor Observation Level in about 5 minutes. It was a lovely clear day, and the views were fantastic, you could see for miles. The staff were friendly and not pushy , they try to sell you a guide map and audio tour but are quite happy to accept no for an answer. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to the Empire State Building to anyone visiting New York, and pre-booking tickets via Viator certainly helped make my visit run smoothly and gave me the flexibility of choosing when to visit, although I was fortunate enough not to have to "skip the line".
