Doing what: Harlem Sunday-Morning Gospel Tour
Fantastic experience, didn't realise we would have a tour guide who was a church member and rally knew his stuff about NY particulalrly the history of Harlem. Very welcoming church congregation - wished we could have stayed for more of the service and had hymn sheets to join in. The brunch was fantastic; a surprise to be eating at the Cotton Club itself - the food and brunchtime entertainment was great fun.

Doing what: Harlem Sunday-Morning Gospel Tour
This was a really good tour. The guide was a well informed native of Harlem. The lunch at the Cotton Club was fantastic. The food was excellent and the gospel band that played during that time was great as well.

Roger, our guide was a brilliant guide, giving us all the background info on Harlem. Loved the gospel-service, and enjoyed the brunch at the Cotton Club even more. An allround good experience that I will recommend to others.

Doing what: Harlem Sunday-Morning Gospel Tour
Robert our guide for the tour was very good at his job and the whole tour was a great experience. Harlem is an interesting and overlooked part of the city. Worth a visit on this tour to see another side of NY. The Gospel church was great, the locals are very welcoming and seem genuinely pleased to see you. We went to Sylvia's for soul food. More than we could eat and the entertainment was first class. The only down side was that the Cotton Club. where we had hoped to eat, was fully booked.

Doing what: Harlem Sunday-Morning Gospel Tour
Very informative and interesting tour. Tour guide was providing info starting from Times Square Area. Tour includes drive-by of Upper West Side, Columbia University, Grant's Tomb, Apollo Theater, and various Harlem streets. Walking through City College of New York, George Washington's headquarters during Battle of Harlem Heights. Church service was very good. All bus tourists sat in the balcony. Musicians and choir were rockin' and very inspirational. Would have like to have seen more tourists participating in the singing and clapping in the service. Would definitely recommend this tour. Didn't participate in the soul food meal. Instructions for departing Times Square area are not exacting. We were told to be at the bus at 9:15 for a 9:30 departure. When we arrived at 9:15, the bus was full except for three seats. Some people were turned away from our English-speaking bus. I don't know if they got onto a non-English bus or were turned away completely.

Doing what: Harlem Wednesday-Morning Gospel Tour
We had no idea how beautiful Harlem is. It completely destroyed the stereotype that we had before we saw the stunning architecture and parks. The Gospel service was fantastic and lunch was delicious! This was one of our favourite New York experiences.

Doing what: Harlem Hip-Hop Walking Tour
This was excellent although the time that Viator gave us for the Walk was wrong, we were told 11.00am on Wednesday but when they didn't show up I rang to be told that the Tour wasn't until 1.00pm couldn't hang around so organised it for the next day which was 1.30pm. We met our guide "Reggie" and he gave us a great walk and showed us all around Harlem and gave us a good insight to Harlem, took us to Apollo Theatre and had a brief look around and then was very helpful in getting us back to our hotel. Very enjoyable except for the mixup with times as we had to get a taxi to the meeting point as didn't quite know where to go and this was a little costly but it worked out in the end and we were told we could get there by bus the next day
Note from Viator: Thanks for your feedback. We appreciate your feedback and are following up with our local supplier.

Doing what: Harlem Wednesday-Morning Gospel Tour
The tour was quite well organised, Harlem was very interesting but the Gospel Choir in the church was what I was looking forward to and they were great. I also had the Harlem meal after the tour and that was at a lovely restaurant and the food was excellent.
