All things military and maritime are on show at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum at Pier 86. The most impressive attractions are the World War II aircraft carrier the USS Intrepid and the submarine USS Growler.
You’ll also spy a British Airways Concorde, as well as Sikorsky, Skyhawk, and Vietnam-era Iroquois Huey helicopters. Space memorabilia includes a replica of an Aurora capsule, and the virtual flight zone simulates the exhilaration of flying in a supersonic jet.

Doing what: Viator VIP: Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and 9/11 Memorial
If you are looking to do a New York City tour and see A LOT in a short time, this tour is a VERY good value! Our local tour guide was Jim, a life-long New Yorker who was extremely knowledgeable and fun. I would highly suggest this tour for anyone who wants to go to the top of the Empire State Builiding, see the USS Intrepid and Space Shuttle Enterprise, have a NY Water Taxi tour of the Hudson and Statue of Liberty, get a walking tour of lower Manhattan and Battery Park, and finish with time at the 9/11 Memorial. Give yourself 6-7 hours and bring your walking shoes!

Doing what: Viator VIP: Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and 9/11 Memorial
Very cool tour. Getting up the Empire State early and before the crowds is the big bonus here. We used the ferry ticket at the end of the tour to visit Brooklyn and then later, the Statue of Liberty before returning to pier 84. Tour guide was great too - very knowledgeable and helpful.
