Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
Top of the Rock Observation Deck just "topped" off our visit to NYC following the Statue of Liberty Express Cruise also booked through Viator. Great overview of NYC from Lower Manhattan to Central Park.

Doing what: New York City Explorer Pass
If you're in NY for a short time (1-4 days) and have a good idea of the activities you would like to do, this pass is great. If you are spending 4 or more days in NY and able to do lots of things, possibly the New York Pass would be a better option. We used our pass for Ripley's Believe It or Not Odditorium, Night Tour by Citysights and Top of the Rock. Night Tour by Citysights was HORRIBLE in cold weather. Ripley's was very cool. Top of the Rock offered great photo opportunity of the Empire State Building and, best of all, we skipped the line!

What a lovely way to start our holiday, the staff were so friendly and polite, the were chatty and informative. The views from the top of the rock evening on a rainy wet April evening were amazing. really worth it.

Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
We went to the Top of the Rock around 10:00 am to be one of the first tours but was told the weather was poor and we would not be able to see anything until around 4:00 pm same day. We appreciated the advise and came back around 3:30 and could see everything. It was a beautiful site to behold to see everything and the Empire State Building was across the way and looked like you could almost touch it. There were no lines and very easy to come up and come down at your own pace. Great tour and recommend to anyone.

Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
Having done the visit to the Empire State building twice before I decided to do The Rock instead this visit. It was an excellent choice. My opinion is that the view from The Rock is superior and it is possible to access three external viewing platforms. It was surprisingly warm up there on a very cold day so I am assuming there is some form of heating in action. Access to The Rock was easy and quick. Highly recommended.

Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
We had to turn our vouchers in for a ticket, and our time was 1 hour after we turned in the voucher. Nwhile we waited we got lunch - there are many shops to choose from n the lower level of Rockefeller Center so there was something for everyone. The timing of tickets controls the crowds, which made the visit so much better. It was a beautiful cool day and the view was spectacular! On one side of the building we could see to the Statue of Liberty and on the orher to Yankee Stadiumand the GWB. IT WAS GREAT!

Doing what: New York City Hop-on Hop-off Tour, Ellis Island Ferry Ticket and Top of the Rock or Empire State Building
Everything about the deal was excellent; the buses were frequent, clean and accessible for my disabled daughter, the tour guides were friendly, entertaining and informative and the "extras", like the boat tour and tickets for Top of the Rock, were cherries on top of the icing on top of the cake! We even got VIP passes that got us to a table in the Hardrock Cafe, Times Square in 5 minutes and not the 90 minutes everyone else was waiting for! I would definitely recommend this ticket to anyone thinking of visiting NYC and would go back again tomorrow if I could.

Doing what: The New York Pass
Definte must do, the day you pick up the pass, tear out off the activies that you want to do, book them if you need to, some of the activites need to be pre booked, a definite must do is Radio City, 911, Rockafellar tour, I wish that they sent out the book to you before you arrived so you can pre book and arranged what activies you want to do, also NBC tour was great, theatre walking tour amazing.

Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
We went to see the Harry Potter exhibit, then lunch and ended our day with a visit to the Top of the Rock. It was a bit chilly but the day was sunny and clear and you could see for miles. We were a group of Girl Scouts from NJ and we earned our "Big Apple" badge for this thrilling experience.

Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
Had ticket but when we weng it was fully booked, just as well we tried to go earlier in our holiday otherwise we may have missed out. Therefore I recommend you go straight to the Rock and book your date and time when you arrive. Other than this a great experience and recommend doing in the night.

Doing what: New York City Explorer Pass
My family participated in the Top of The Rock tour which was amazing, lines were not too bad. We also did the Museum of Natural History and the kids liked this. Lastly, we did the city bus tour. This was horrible. The traffic was heavy, it took forever to get down the downtown tour. The headphones which were supplied actually shock your ears. This happened to 3 of us and it was painful.
The worst part, I am sorry to say was the bus tour director who was to give the tour history of the sites on the microphone. He kept pounding the mic on his leg and it caused this noise in our ears! He only wanted to talk about the celebs and these sites as well as the sex museum he thought it was cool. He did not make the tour very informative and made it very boring! there was not enough information given with less talk than information.
My family did not like it and said this would not encourage them to even go on another bus tour. Disappointing!

Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
We chose to go the The Rockerfeller Centre late afternoon to have a look around the shops/restaurants and bars. We then went up to the observation deck at dusk to see the view in darkness (having seen daytime views from The Empire State Building. We also had the tour of Art and Architecture of the buildings, I thought it would be a bit boring but found it very interesting and had things pointed out to us that we would otherwise have missed. Good value for money tickets.
