Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
The guide Christine was very passionate and informative and helped us appreciate the vision of John D Rockerfelller. The views from the Top were breathtaking and taking the tour meant you were escorted through security and avoided the lines.Take the tour 1hr before sunset then see top in day and night

Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
We booked this tour not realizing that it was in two parts we got a little confused when we were booked for a time slot and no one explained what we to do.Having said that they did re-book the times for the tour we missed so we got to see everything. The tour part of the trip showed you the Rockerfella buildings the iconic art deco and paintings the guide was brilliant he made things interesting even though we were out on a very cold march evening. I would recommend this to any one just make sure you get the trips in the right order.

Is it better than the Empire State Building? Hmmm, tricky to answer that! It's a far less pleasing building but we we there for views not architecture, and I must say that the view from the Top of the Rock is better, in my opinion, certainly the uptown view as you have unhindered visbiliity over Central Park and beyond. We were there early on a Sunday, so it was quiet, and we had a crystal clear morning, so everything looked stunning. Even as a vertigo sufferer, I really enjoyed this experience!

Brilliant! Booking tickets before hand is a must as you are given a time slot (about 15 mins after arrival)take the elevator up to the observatory. We went and browsed the shops and many cafe's inside the Rockerfeller centre. The views are amazing and everything is a million times better theEmpire State

Thanks for helping me save a few bucks; the bonus was that it wasn't a time-stamped ticket. I got to Rockefeller Center early and there were hardly any people there at 8am when it opened. Really spectacular views and there's 3-4 floors with views! The top is completely unobstructed.

Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
I've wanted to go to Top of the Rock for several years. We decided to visit with my son and girl friend (visiting from NC) to see The Tree and make the evening special by going to the TOP. It was wonderful! It started to snow just as we got to the Top! What's better than NYC at Christmas, Top of the Rock, and snowing! Thanks for helping make the evening possible by making tickets affordable!

Doing what: The New York Pass
Great value!Booked the 7day pass and got more than our money's worth!Cost £125, would've cost us $340 (£215+) for all the things we did!
Great way to see the skyline and views/sights is via the many cruises available and saw museums we wouldn't have bothered with otherwise!
Plus Lib, Emp State and Rock!!

Doing what: New York City Hop-on Hop-off Tour, Ellis Island Ferry Ticket and Top of the Rock or Empire State Building
Would have to say that I will have to mark this down for lack o communication. The tour Great and the Top of the Rock was superb better that Empire for the daytime. But we didnt get to go to Ellis Island or Liberty Island because of Hurricane Sandy and we could have been told this before buying the tickets. Bit of a let down

Doing what: The New York Pass
AMAZING idea and well worth doing. We decided to cram everything in on one day so got more than our moneys worth although I would recommend having the pass over 2 days as it was an extremely tiring day. Tiring but thoroughly enjoyable and I would recommend this pass for anyone visiting NYC as a must. We took the last lift up to the Rockafeller (Top of the Rock) at 11pm and I would highly recommend this time as there were only a few people up there and it was a really magical moment to see the City at night.

Doing what: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York
The view from the top of the rock is spectacular and the whole of New York is there to behold. We were fortunate that it was a clear night when we went and not too windy.
