Great view and we took the tour as well and this was well worth it, guide was exellent and we learnt a lot more about all the buildings that comprise Rockerfella Place

My wife and I enjoyed the convenience of the hop on hop off bus tour, however some of the tour guides focused too much on personal things to talk about versus just informing us about the city. I didn't need to know about Luther Vandross' funeral for over five minutes or where one guy said his parents conceived him. Too much information. The Ellis Island ferry was really nice and we happened to be on it the day that Pier 17 was on fire and got great photos of it. The observatory at Rockefeller Center was a site to see and offered great photo opportunities. Overall, the hop on, hop off tour was a great value and we'd recommend it to anyone.

The venue is spectacular. We went at sunset and it was beautiful to see the empire state building from another tall tower close by. It was however badly organised. Firstly the Viator web site said that the only time available was 11.59pm ! and the tower closes at midnight. The web site also said that the phone lines would be open at certain times if called from New York. I tried to call within the open hours only to be told that the office was closed (frustrating). On arrival at the Rock we were made to queue with people who had just walked in off the street and it took an hour to get in. This meant we missed sunset completely so why book in advance ?

If you ony do one thing in NYC, this is it. We renewed our wedding vows at the Top of the Rock. What an experience overlooking the Empire State. If you have time, do a dayand night visit. Queues were short and the staff were so friendly. Wonderful experience

it's a good way to visit the city. Don't forget to include the tips in your calculations, for each time you hop off the bus... Ellis Island is great, no need to hop off at statue of liberty island, top of the rock is less crowded than Empire State.

Thought that the view from the Top of the Rock was better than the Empire Building - If you get a clear day then do the buildings first otherwise the clouds come in and visablity is nil - Also you see the Empire State Building form here

Be careful that you dont have to pre-book your tickets ie Top of the Rock. The pass does not automatically give you access, you have to actually convert to paper tickets at the venue and these sell out.
Empire State, pay the difference and get the upgrade to bypass the huge queues.

One word AMAZING!!! Had booked for evening of our arrival Thursday 26th April but as wet and misty saved our vouchers until Sunday 29th (Thank you Viator for selling vouchers that allowed us to change the date to suit the weather!) - so worth the wait, the views from all sides were even more amazing than I thought they would be and to see the Empire State was truly stunning, my previous view of New York "roof tops" was from the Empire State 3.5 years ago but in the daytime so we decided on a night time viewing this time. The efficient organising by the "Rock" team from checking in for a time for the lift to the time we left was very smooth and made the experience a truly memorable one for our last night in New York!

My family would rate the Top of the Rock 5 stars. The View was amazing it took our breath away. Would reccomend for everyone to see. Absolutely loved it!!!!

Booking should have made it clearer that you need to queue for tickets and be given an allocated time for the lift up to the Rockerfeller. That said neither process took long and there was some form of advantage when joining the queue.

Great! It was totally easy and fast to got in there and to got on the desk. The view was AMAZING. You can't say you've seen New York if you haven't seen it from the Top of the Rock!
