NYC: KGB Bar

The infamous “KGB” stands for Komitet (Committee) Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti (State Security). You won't find any spies upstairs at the KGB Bar in the East Village in New York City (at least we hope not), but you might take one look at the interior and expect the lovechild of Jack Kerouac and Lenin to walk in the door and join you for a vodka. Candles, curtains, dim lighting, poetry readings, a chill-out vibe... and of course, propaganda posters and loads of kitsch.
