Enjoyable tour. Bus was comfortable and the tour guides were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Hotel in Washington is decent, but you're there so briefly so its just a bed you need. Only downside was not seeing the holocaust museum, but hey you can't do everything I suppose.

This was the highlight of our trip Stateside. Its an early start and a long ride. But dont let that put you off, this is a "must do" trip. The sights in D.C. are something to behold.
The Tour Company are a very slick organisation, with great Guides to make sure you dont miss anything, and, above all make sure you dont get lost. They leave you for about 2 hours at the lunch break, when you can go off and explore Capital Hill. A very long day, but something we would not have missed, a great tour.

Well worth the long journey as the trip enables you to see all the sights.A well informed guide. Only negative point was Madam Tussauds - I think this could be omitted and more time given to seeing the real sights.

Our one day Washington DC trip by coach was an excellent experience seeing the seat of Government in the US. Our tour guide Mary(Merrilyn- Italian Interpreter) was wonderful as she was with our other Viator trip to Niagara Falls. A totally enjoyable day full of interesting places to visit. I'm pleased I did this tour but the day was overlong, returning at nearly 10 pm. I didn't care for the visit to the Tourist Tat shop - having said that, the tour was the only way for me to see Washington on this holiday, and so I don't regret it.

A good tour to do if you're visiting NYC and have a day to explore another city. There are a couple of things that I feel could be improved in order to make the experience more enjoyable. The tour I was on catered to 4 different languages groups. The main tour guide provided commentary in English and Spanish. Another guide provided commentary in French and Portugese. This group was seated towards the back. I appreciate the company trying to satisfy multiple language groups but it can become difficult to keep up. It was easy enough to get lost in the switch between English and Spanish, and then there was the chatter of the French/Portugese version. The guide doing the French/Portugese seemed a little inexperienced at times as she wasn't sure how to translate some of the English or Spanish into French or Portugese. I felt that some of the commentary just got lost in translation. Another suggestion I would make is to provide less time at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and instead provide more time to explore the many museums of Washington DC. The tour provides access to the Presidential section of the was museum but I found the too much time was wasted there and it took away from other sites that could've been visited. With the limited amount of time available in DC, there are much more significant sites to visit than a wax museum. Also, a little more commentary about the area and history of the area would be appreciated.

This is a long way to go from NY so don't expect too much. We enjoyed our day but would have liked slightly longer at the sights. We were very disappointed at the possibilities for lunch. Attempting to eat at the Air and Space Museum was like being at a cattle auction. Fully recommend that anyone who takes this tour eats at The National Museum of the American Indian just a bit further up the street. Interesting food in a more friendly atmosphere and still quick.

The tour guide was pathetic
His approach to Washington was has anyone seen forest gump and then
chatted about the movie. I mean really. I asked which part of the pentagon was
hit by the plane on sept 11th and he said it must have been around the back. Yeh great information., The multi lingual tour was not what was expected when asked what language we speak. Yes the weather was difficult as it snowed all of the way there and the driver was amazing but the guide could not really be bothered to say anything other than on the right is the cemetery on the left is the pentagon . A little history and knowledge was expected by me. What do other expect.?

Interesting trip, good tour guides, 4 hours each way, but still very much worth it.
