Today’s most common New Zealand cuisine owes much to its British heritage. We’re talking stodgy staples such as fish and chips, meat pies, hamburgers and meals containing meat with two veg. There are, however, a few foods that are uniquely Kiwi, many of which have been around since New Zealand’s first settlers, the Maori, arrived. Here’s a list of some New Zealand’s best bites:
