New Zealand’s National Parks

New Zealand is a natural beauty in a world that is rapidly losing its looks. Its forests, mountains and beaches were here long before the islands indigenous inhabitants, the Maori, set foot on its soil and even longer before the arrival of Europeans.

With over 14 national parks throughout the country – three in the North Island and 10 in the South Island (the 14th is in tiny Stewart Island), each offers the visitor a unique experience of New Zealand’s flora and fauna.
