Yes, New Zealand has some of the best skiing and snowboarding opportunities in all of the Southern Hemisphere, but this doesn’t mean skiing is the only thing to do in New Zealand in the winter. While the stacks of fresh powder draw tens of thousands of Kiwi ski bums and bunnies to the slopes, down at the non-ski resort areas of the country there is no shortage of things to do in New Zealand in the winter.
