Doing what: Fall Foliage Tour from New York City

Enjoyed the trip but was a bit disappointed that most of the leaves had fallen so we saw quite a lot of bare trees. Had rather hoped that we would spend more time on Bear Mountain off the main road but most of the trip was on the Parkway. We had a excellent guide who really made the trip worthwhile for us.

Doing what: Autumn on Old Cape Cod

The bus driver/tour guide was terrific. We learned a lot about the Cape Cod region. The harbor tour was great. The lunch stop, however, was not so good. Find a new Restaurant.

The bus provider did a good job in the end but I was less than satisfied with Viator. Viator accepted my reservation and took the payment and then later sent an sms to say the tour was not available and to call to reschedule. When I called the number they had no idea of my reservation and it took several calls to reschedule. The rescheduled time was not convenient but as I'd paid for the tour, I needed to take it. Viator should give the correct information in the first place. I will go directly to the bus provider in future and not through Viator.

Too long a drive and time in Boston consequently limited. A video on the bus showing Boston and its historic trail would have helped. Guide's explanations were very brief and bus micro not working!! Quickly expedited trip but understandable given the distance.

Doing what: Bear Mountain Full-Day Cruise

The best part was the voice over narrator who told so many interesting facts about the Hudson and NYC. He was an outstanding speaker and personality. It made the whole journey worthwhile. Unfortunately the color of foliage was nothing special, and the Oktoberfest was tacky. The return trip was full of loud and drunken folks which kind of puts a damper on the surroundings. All in all, I'd give the trip a C.

Doing what: Fall Foliage Spectacular Tour from Boston

There was a bit of a mix-up with the paper voucher. Even if the instructions on the paper voucher state that you need to present the paper voucher to the tour leader (implying that all you really need to get on the bus is the paper voucher), you still need to go inside the office and exchange the paper voucher for a receipt. Otherwise, the tour was okay. The leaves weren't quite in full bloom yet (not anyone's fault), but our tour guide made up for it by telling historical tidbits about each place.

Doing what: Fall Foliage Spectacular Tour from Boston

Unfortunately, despite the driver talking it up, the tour was too early, there was hardly any colour to be seen at the time. A fairer tour description would be 'possibly spectacular' as this depends on the weather conditions. The driver tried to mke it more so by promising us a 'truly super day' when we got north, which did not happen. Not really value for money, especially when you had to pay more for a mediocre lunch. Not worth doing unless you can see the colours in Boston first.

Nice drive in country, pity there was no fall foliage. Too long at farm shop which was of no interest except as a shop
