We were only in Oahu for two days and the Pearl harbor tour was a priority. The tour was easy picked up and dropped off at our downtown hotel, well planned, and the price was right. Our tour guide was well informed, very professional and personable. A great experience!
It was easy to walk around the various exhibits at Pearl Harbor before seeing the presentation in the theater and taking the launch to the Arizona Memorial. The Arizona Memorial was very inspiring, although somber. The tour guide on the Missouri gave a very good presentation. The drive through the Punchbowl was appropriate as it is a cemetery.
Pearl Harbor is a must see while in Oahu, the tour was great a must do.
Doing what: World War II Pearl Harbor Heroes Adventure Tour
Have done several tours of Pearl Harbor now and this was by far the best. Well done.
Doing what: Private Tour: Pearl Harbor Experience
We had so much fun on this tour. Although we were aren't hugh LOST fans, we still enjoyed the beautiful locations AND took tons of pictures. We especially liked touring the bunkers used in the movie Pearl Harbor and all of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World locations. Our tour guide, Scotty, was funny, knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend you ask for him if you take this tour. His album of pictures was not only awesome, but highly informative. There were only four of us on this weekday afternoon tour, so we had lots of time to visit and take pictures. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are visiting Waikiki.
Was a moving experience to be at Pearl Harbor. Our tour guide Cousin Coco was excellent.
Our tour guide was outstanding. He not only gave us a great tour of Pearl Harbor but also of Waikiki. The guide made the trip so worth it. I would highly recommend doing this tour. I think it took the hassles out of driving, parking, paying, knowing where to go and when. It made it a peaceful day that allowed us to focus on all that we were seeing.
Doing what: Best Pearl Harbor Battleships Tour of Oahu
Our tour was excellent. the bus was clean comfortable and air conditioned. the entire trip was fantastic. Pearl Harbor was excellent and moving. to see first hand the remains of the USS Arizona and still see oil coming up. the documentary you see before the memorial was extremely moving. Our driver was knowledgeable and a very safe driver. The entire day was worth every cent. I recommend this to anyone visiting Oahu. 10
Our tour was right on time and our tour guide was wonderful. Kemo-not sure of spelling-was very informative. He added a lot of information to our trip to Pearl Harbor. He was funny, adding personal insight to our tour. I would recommend this tour to everyone IF the guide was as good as ours!
We enjoyed the circle Island trip so much. Pearl Harbor was the first stop and as American Citizens, it made us so very proud of our servicemen. It was a very moving experience. The rest of the tour was great also. We saw many places and enjoyed it all. Our tour guide was Ernie and he was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We highly recommend the tour.
if you are in Hawaii you must visit Pearl harbor. It is a part of our history. Very educational and solum as well. Out of respect we did not take pictures. Men gave their lives so we may live and have our freedom. We owe them our respect and thank them for their sacrifice.
incredible tour. Garfield was superb. I wish there was more time at Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona since there is so much to see - very moving
My niece and I had so much fun on this tour. Although she wasn't a LOST fan like me, she enjoyed the beautiful locations AND took tons of pictures. She especially liked touring the bunkers used in the movie Pearl Harbor and all of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World locations. Our tour guide, Greg B., was funny, knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend you ask for him if you take this tour. He is a member of SAG-AFTRA and has worked on many of the productions that have filmed in Hawaii. His album of pictures was not only awesome, but highly informative. There were only four of us on this weekday afternoon tour, so we had lots of time to visit and take pictures. I will definitely be taking my sons on this tour next time I visit Hawaii.
Our driver/tour guide was excellent. He was very friendly, made us laughter and knew a lot of the history of Pearl Harbor and of Waikiki. I just wish we could of had a little bit more time there at Pearl Harbor. But me and my nice had a very moving experience at Pearl Harbor and would go back for another visit.
Good tour guide that led us to Pearl Harbor/AZ memorial. Once there ..we were welcomed and there was a film that helped us give more appreciation to what we were going to see
This was a 'see Oahu in a day' tour and it was fantastic if you are short on time and have only one day like I did to see the island. The coach we were on was a really nice bright shuttle, with big windows that sat 25 people so the tour was not too big. They pick you up around 7:30 and drop off between 5-6 so you really do get a full flavor and highlight of Oahu. Our guide/driver Alex was AMAZING! Great sense of history, knowledge and humor and he really made sure that every interesting thing about the island was pointed out. For lunch you stop at this food truck like place that has shrimp from their shrimp farming here and it was VERY good not included in the price and was fun to stop somewhere 'local'. While you do not stop at Pearl Harbor on this tour, you do drive by and get a little history. All of our other stops and just the drive itself was chock full of sites. Loved it, would totally recommend it.
This tour was great! Our tour guide, Cody, had a vast knowledge of Pearl Harbor and all things Hawai'ian, and was so funny at times, to lighten our day after a somber trip...Hawaii is beautiful and would def use Viator again!
This tour was excellent. Our bus driver was extremely knowledgeable about the events of Pearl Harbor, adding to the tour. To walk into the memorial and see all the names of the servicemen killed was chilling, the one aspect that was difficult was that the Park Service will not allow any bags into the Pearl Harbor grounds, so you must pack only what you can carry on your person.
This tour was great, our driver was very knowledgeable about the history of Pearl Harbor. Highly recommend.
The open-door flight was excellent. We were a party of 4 so just us on this flight. We were picked up and transported to airport in comfort by minibus with information on flight and safety briefing given by combination of driver and video en-route. After a short wait in the departure building we were led to the aircraft and were airborne within a few minutes. Our pilot was friendly, funny and informative. He exuded confidence at the controls always giving advance warning of flight maneuvers / turbulence to put us at ease. Views from the air were spectacular - highlights for me were flying past our hotel on Waikiki Beach and circling The Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. Photo and video opportunities were excellent my tip would be not to lean out too far to take video as air speed causes too much camera-shake. After landing we had time to browse the souvenirs and clothing, all unique to Makani Kai Helicopters and at very reasonable prices.
We were given a complementary pre-recorded DVD of the route we flew which I will look forward to watching when I've found out how to get around the fact that it is made for the US market and I can't play it on my DVD in the UK. I feel that we definitely got value for our money on this activity. If you are looking for a vacation memory that lasts after the others start to fade - definitely do this flight!!
Doing what: Open-Door Helicopter Tour over Oahu
1st and foremost, our bus tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Hawaii in general. He really did a great job offering his view and knowledge of what we were to see during our tour. Down side: Too short of time at the Pearl Harbor Museum. Would like to have had another 30 min. Great Punchbowl tour of the city.
Very moving experience. Tour guide was great and informative. Since Honolulu traffic is a bit of a nightmare, this is definitely the way to get to and from Pearl Harbor and learn a bit more about the city on the way there and back.
Amazing tour! Best tour of Pearl Harbor. More than enough time at each stop. Seeing where WWII began and ended for the United States was very moving. Highly recommend this tour if you want the full experience.
Doing what: World War II Pearl Harbor Heroes Adventure Tour
Peter can't remember Hawaiian name was excellent. We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. He made it so interesting, filling us in with so much history and asking us questions. It was a very fun day even though the end at Pearl Harbor was quite sobering - it is a wonderful tribute to our veterans. I wouldn't change a thing!
I loved the tour. Especially Pearl Harbor. We even met a Pearl Harbor survivor while there. The rest of the tour was good too. I could have done without some of the touristy stops but I guess that's the best way to have bathroom breaks for the tour.
