absolutely amazing! Such a wonderful experience...much more than I expected! The Dolphins are wonderful- they did all kinds of tricks for us- we did the belly swim and kiss! I was smiling ear-to-ear the whole time! SOOO glad I did this =)
I purchased this program and had a free upgrade to the Dolphin Encounter - this was an amazing experience which I would definitely recommend! I am not sure whether I would have been happy to pay the usual price for this, but as I only paid half the usual price. I felt as though I had my moneys worth.
Great value for the money, the staff was wonderful. The only issue was the service at the gift shop where you pick up the photos. The staff was beyond rude, and I had to wait over 40 minutes for my one photo. Other wise, it was a great mini adventure.
Most of the attractions that we had paid for with the entrance ticket were closed when we arrived due to "choppy water". However, we did receive an upgrade to a dolphin touch program which was very nice of the staff there. We had a great time at the dolphin attraction. Some attractions are misleading though. The jungle trail just consists of an iguana and snake in a box. Swimming with the stingrays consisted of one man holding a stingray in the ocean. Despite paying additional for an entrance ticket for these attractions; employees expected tips for everything they do, such as offering to take a photo of you with the animals. While looking at the turtles, an employee tied bracelets to our arm that we then unknowingly had to pay for. Needless to say, our trip to Dolphin Cove wound up costing us more than the entrance fee and there was not a whole lot to see.
It was great except they are misleading. One dolphin per group of 6-8 people. Not one dolphin per person! They hound you for tips and to pay for pictures. The pictures are good quality so we bought them but not the video why would we spend money for a video of people I don't know touching the dolphin? The swimming with sting rays is silly there are only 3 of them and they stay by the guys taking pictures of people touching them and you get yelled at if you go near them because they are taking the pictures but the pictures are close-ups so how could you bother them if you are in the background. In the end it's something to do.
Dolphins were fun we went with the dolphin encounter package. your not allowed to take pictures which was a bummer. Over all good experience.
My husband and I went to the Dolphin Encounter and enjoyed it very much. The enounter itself was great. We had fun and the trainers were very entertaining and fun. Now the few things that I would say that were not good, were Viator told us the pickup and return were part of the package and they are not. We didnt have to pay but its not. We did not get our DVD which if you order the DVD and the photo CD they are 2 seperate disc and ours got left. Its was a huge ordeal and $38 worth of phone charges to get it. The DVD and pics are VERY expensive. Ours ran $120 + tax. The park itself is okay but not what its made out to be as far as the other part that you walk through. It is fun and theres lots to do overall its good and we will go back but now we know what to do since they aren't clear that you pick up pics and DVD in TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT AREAS!:)
This was a birthday present for my wife - she loved it! Make sure you have transportation arranged for.
Well first the positives... Wonderful time at Dolphin Cove. So many things to do. Well worth the money. Now for the negative. We had booked this attraction through a different vendor and had problems getting it confirmed. We spent a lot of time on the phone with both the vendor and Dolphin Cove. Finally gave up and canceled. This was something we really wanted to do so we then booked through Viator. Same problems. Dolphin Cove said they couldn't find our reservations. Took time but we finally got it straightened out. Dolphin Cove does not seem to be very well organized when it comes to reservations. They added a lot of stress to our vacation.
