Some of the information wasn't correct at Marley's mausoleum but overall, it was a great tour--very fun, the people were super nice, and our tour guide was great.
This was a great tour in spite of the rough roads, well worth taking. Fun to be around fellow travelers who also enjoy music. The guide was very helpful in providing info about Jamaica's history and we learned a lot. The stops are frequent but short, so you have to be fast with a camera. I recommend it.
Finding the company at the airport was easy enough and we were on our way in about 15 minutes.
Transferring back to the airport they wanted to schedule a pickup about 4 hours before the flight. Since we were only 15 minutes from the airport, I arranged for them to pick us up 3 hours before the flight. They were prompt and the transfer was excellent.
This trip is a must do for anyone going to Jamaica, especially anyone who has ever enjoyed a Bob song...
Ras Wayne and Ron (tour operator and driver) were AMAZING!!
I am lucky enough to have traveled to many great parties around the world; this is one of the best.
Everyone was great and I highly recommend a visit. Hope to see you there soon.
No air-conditioning! We had to peel off the vinyl seats (3hrs in total). We read other reviews and it said they were funny and knowledgeable about Bob Marley and reggae in general. NO! They threw on a couple of DVD's and blandly talked about Bob. We owned those DVD's and we could of ran the tour better. Then we get to Marley's foundation and we get a tour guide that says nothing but screams out incoherent jokes about the other tourists. Everyone has there hands out for tips. I mean everyone! Since we are true fans of Bob Marley we really wanted to pay respect to his mausoleum and say a prayer but we were rushed out so we can hear the guide continue on with his foolishness. If we ever go back to Jamaica we will hire a private air-conditioned taxi and go there on our own (which would have been a lot cheaper). So that we can enjoy the bars and take our time without being hassled. It is a nice place to hang out and if you are a Rastafarian at heart you can legally buy and smoke if you choose to do so.
We all enjoyed it so much, second year in a row we have gone and will probably do it again if we go back next year!
