bad from the start - pick up 5-30 bus eventually tuned up at 06-20 tour stated we would have a breakfast stop - we did but were not allowed off the bus and breakfast consisted of a kids size bag of biscuits and a small carton of strawberry juice supplied by the driver - this was after 3 and half hours of travel - on arrival we were transfered onto another bus for a further 1 hour to get to the space centre - the space centre was fine - the return trip took 5 hours non-stop and we eventually got back to are hotel at 23-30 - the day trip info stated that the trip was of approx 11 hours which actually turned out to be 18 HOURS - 12 hours of these sat on a coach - so no i would not recommend this trip and if we wre given the true information regarding the true total hours of the trip we would most certainly would not of booked - not only did it ruin the day but took up the next day to recover
Brilliant day out for the family. Lots to see and do and the Shuttle Simulation is amazing! Well worth the trip out there
This was a trip well worth doing. Educational and fun for both kids and adults. The tour guide was friendly and helpful and the transport comfortable and convenient as you are picked up and dropped off at your hotel. The timeline for a full day trip was spot on. Don't forget when you get to the Kennedy Space Centre that you include the inside shuttle bus tour of the operating centres and launch sites on-site as this wasn't terribly obvious on their brochure that you collect indoors. We missed it, sticking to the facilities on the primary site. Also check if there is a rocket launch when you are there as they are very discreit about it, and we heard it but were very disappointed not to see it. I wouldn't hesitate to do this tour again if we are ever lucky enough to visit Orlando in the future.
The day would have been excellent but was spoiled at the start as we were at the meeting place where we were advised to get the bus but the driver did not check my ticket and told us to take a seat on the bus and we made an assumption that the bus was the correct one for the tour (as it was the only one in the carpark) but after collecting other people from other resorts and 1 hour later he then gave the travellers the itineray, we were on the wrong tour!!!! After much phone calls and no communication we were told another driver would be meeting us at a petrol station and would take us to Kennedy Space Centre. So we did get there but were late and therefore missed a part of the tour we wanted to see. So my advice is check with drivers that you are on the correct tour before leaving (even if there is no other bus!!) Also our tour needed to be longer by at least an hour to give you a bit more time after the lunch.
THE WORST "TOUR" I HAVE EVER TAKEN. Bus took 7 hrs to ferry the majority of passengers to Orlando (not on tours). Then by minibus for a few to go to Disney World then 5 of us to Kennedy. Dropped off with not enough time to see space station properly, then collected for another horrendous run back to Miami, taking about 6 hours. Trip from Miami to Kennedy should take about 3 1/2 hours. Our tickets included Astronaut Hall of Fame, 7 miles away from space station, but we would have had to walk the 14 miles there and back to see it because there was no "tour" to take us. We were apalled by the whole experience and would like our money back. It was dreadful. If you subcontract the tour out, you need to give it to a company who will take people DIRECT to the space station, take them to the Astronauts Hall of fame, and then take them back to Miami, taking 3 1/2 hours each way. We loved our tour to Grand Canyon that we booked through Viator, so we booked Viator again for Kennedy. There was no "tour" only a horrible bus trip/mini bus trip which dropped us off, returning via mini bus then large bus back to Miami late at night.
the airboat ride was fun.lucky with the weather considering thunder storms later.boat captain did a good of positioning the boat to catch sight of alligators and give a good narative on their feeding habits.overall a well worth it trip.
I have always wanted to visit the kennedy space centre.just fantastic better than I could ever have dreamed of.we were there for six hours and I still never got to see everything.will definately go back the next time i'm in florida.
A brilliant day. The only challenge was the dash from the astronaut lunch (a fascinating hour) to catch the up close tour (which was brilliant).
4 Australians thoroughly enjoyed and can recommend this tour to all - excellent knowledgable guides. Airboat was great!
Second time I've done this tour, second time there's been no mock-up space shuttle to walk through. Very disappointed with the hotel pickups. The location I was given was an hour's quick walk from where I was staying near Universal and once we were on the bus, the drivers instructions regarding our day (when we should get back to the bus etc) were chaotic and difficult to understand. The coach also returns to Orlando too early (Kennedy is still open) and takes a ridiculous route around the hotels. It got to within half a mile of my pickup hotel, then drove all the way to Disney Land before returning to my hotel last. There were more passengers for my stop than any other, so making us all wait an extra 45 minutes was nonsense, especially as we could have walked the half mile in 10 minutes. Kennedy itself is OK. The shuttle ride is too quick and I was hoping for G-force (there isn’t any). Their tour round the various launch pads is a little dated as there's only one big shuttle pad left, however the Imax films are reasonable and there are a number of actual rockets to view (though no shuttle at the moment). The new Star Trek theatre show is clearly aimed at kids and the Kennedy museum on the other side of the causeway to the cape is disappointing as always, but for anyone interested in this part of America's history this is a must do tour (though based on your hotel location, the number in your party and the fact that the coach is effectively just a taxi to a theme park, you may decide that a hire car is the cheaper way to get there).
Wow is all i can say such an informative and educational day. Loved every minute of this tour from our pick up to our drop off. Had a great day a must for everyone.
Wasted 1 1/2 hrs in front of KSC since we did not have tickets for ultimate tours. Driver PETE blamed to KFC. But I believe it is the fault of Pete and his company. He even did not talk about ultimate tour details in the bus. He kept explaining about regular tour always and he had those tickets handy with him. Ultimate tour should be the best but we could not see so many things because of morning long delay. Very frustrated. wasted big money.
