Florida is well-known for having some of the country’s best theme parks, and the 150-acre LEGOLAND Florida is one of them. Located in the city of Winter Haven -- 45 minutes from Orlando -- the park features over 50 rides, shows, attractions and impressive LEGO models, there is a lot for visitors, especially families with children, to explore. Additionally, because the original site of the park was Cypress Gardens, there are also vibrant botanical gardens littering the grounds. Immerse yourself in the world of legos by wandering through the 10 different “lands” comprising the park, including The Beginning, Fun Town, Miniland USA, Castle Hill, Land of Adventure, LEGO® City, Xtreme, Imagination Zone, Pirates Cove and DUPLO® Village.

Go on a wild animal safari with elephants, giraffes and lions made of legos, get your LEGOLAND Driver’s License in a full-sized lego-constructed Ford Explorer or watch lego pirates put on a live-action water ski show and defeat Captain Brickbeard. There is also a LEGOLAND Waterpark, featuring wave pools, lazy rivers and thrill rides that will leave you drenched. Ride rubes 375-feet down crisscrossing water slides on the Twin Chasers or climb to the water park’s tallest point for a 60-foot drop slide in Splash Out.

Doing what: Legoland® Florida

A good time for younger kids, but a bit of a stretch for teens and adults. For those with experience at the other Central FL theme parks, it is a let down and certainly overpriced. They could also benefit from deploying some sort of a fast pass option.
