It s very good zoo : clean, big, well arranged., nice place to spend time with kids.
I myself went to the zoo in January 5th 2012. With my wife and my 8 years old michael.
Like many other places in osaka, Kids are free. Entrance admission for the adult is also relatively cheap.
Access to the place is also very easy, close to train station, close to downtown. From the time we got out of the train, we can see the wall of the train station are filled with picture of zoo animal. That gave us the excitement feeling.
