Very interesting places, good air-conditioned bus, good meal and very knowledgable English-speaking guide. Happy that I combined it with Nara trip, it added some variety with a deer park.
Excellent tour! We definitely packed it in going all over the city; there is absolutely no way we could have done this all on our own. In addition, our tour leader, Hiromi, was great! She was very knowledgeable and friendly, and she had great anecdotes along the way to keep things interesting. Highly recommended!
My daughter and I absolutely loved this tour from the word GO! The Nishiki Market was interesting and fun as our guide shared delicacies from Japan . The walk through town was interesting, and the cooking class was fantastic. We enjoyed making miso soup, Japanese spinach salad, and sushi!! The sake tasting was also a hit. I highly recommend this tour as our guides were informative and fun!
It was a good tour. I, however, feel that the number of places to be shown in full day should be reduced to 3-4 instead of 6. I would make the tourist to see the monuments of historical importance in detail and not rush from one place to another.
This tour is really well-organized. I really enjoyed every trip with Viator. Moreover, the lunch was fantastic!
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and added great value to the tour. However the tour was a bit rushed, and it might have been better if we had a little more time to take it all in. Overall though, I would recommend this tour as a good taster of these sights. The Golden Pavilion was absolutely spectacular!
The tour was mixed. First and foremost, the tour guide was very good as he was knowledgeable and had a passion for his subject. Unfortunately, we happened to pick an 'open house' day when everything was 'packed' and so the day became an exercise of crowd control. Thus, it was often difficult to hear the guide because of the crowds surrounding us. It might be good to have some type of wireless audio system that enables the guide to speak with each and every one of us without us having to crowd around him. This is difficult with tours that fill an entire bus (and more conducive to small groups). The sights were a good representative cross section of the famous temples.
Can highly recommend this tour. Only way to quickly see so many sights and the guides were great.
Great tour despite Typhoon rains.
The trip itself was great, you won't be able to see so much in such a short time if you go in your own
but you need to do your homework before this trip-read about where are you going, because it isn't always possible to hear the guide, and not everybody from our group understood her accent, unfortunately
But despite everything it was a great trip, we were so glad we went on it!
The kyoto morning tour is always on a rush. we spent so little time in each destination and we feel pressured. the nijo castle does not allow photography and all we got was the exterior. The nara tour is better, it was laid back and i had a great time with the deers of Nara park. Seeing the UNESCO world heritage sites at Nara was a pleasure. Our tour guide Ms. Miko is very knowledgeable and was able to answer our queries.
Nijo Castle was really interesting and well worth a visit, as was the Golden Pavilion which was really beautiful. I would not want to visit the Imperial Palace again. The tour group had to split into four lines and had to wait in the hot sun until we were told we could go inside the grounds. Not that much to see and there was a female security officer keeping within a short distance of us at all times.
Busy day but great for those who don't have much time in Kyoto but want to see the most important sights
We loved the Nara part of this tour however we felt maybe the deer park should have been last as it is so beautiful it would have been the perfect ending to an awesome day
