Very entertaining and informative 2 hours. Steph had plenty of anecdotes to keep us amused despite the wind whipping up the sand in the Tuileries as we walked through !

This tour was exceptional. Our guide Steph was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining and well spoken. We felt as if we had been in Paris during the French Revolution when we had finished! Historical background and narrative was excellent and the sights and landmarks covered during our walk are not to be missed during a visit to Paris. A. Corkern / Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

It was very nice to be taken to some of the places you wouldn't think of going to on a weekend away. It was good to see the locations of some of the remaining artisanal workers and to wander around the markets.

Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable but seemed to be 'going through the motions' as though she had done this tour many times before and perhaps was a bit bored with it. The food locations and the market we visited were excellent. Perhaps a bit expensive for 2 hours.

This was an interesting tour. Guide was very informative. Felt it was on the pricey side for going to the supermarket.

We enjoyed this tour, but felt it was very overpriced for what it was. We spent about 2.5 hours touring the food markets in the Bastille District, starting at a patisserie for croissants which were very good. From there we went on to the indoor and outdoor food market where we sampled various cheeses and produce that the vendors offered everyone who walked by. Our group of 4 shared 6 oysters which were great, very fresh and tasting of the sea! We ended with a glass of wine with bread and pate at a wine shop. The market was beautiful and we enjoyed seeing it, but a fairer price for what we got would have been about $50, instead of about $120.

A thoroughly enjoyable walk with our great guide! We had lots of photo opportunities and lots of inside knowledge on the area. Thanks for a great afternoon topped off by a visit to a fabulous bakery!

It was a gray day with the Paris skies periodically crying on us. However, our guide Gil Soltz made the trip well worth the visit. We started at the Pompidou Center of Art (which looks like it's still under construction...with all it's 'insides' hanging out). We ended at the site of the Bastille. In between, we wandered the Paris streets, a warren of randomly connected neighborhoods. We lingered at the the Hotel de Ville, the city hall and heard of its many lives. We saw preservation efforts, sites saved, sites lost and replaced with character-less buildings, a church, a Kosher neighborhood, and an eclectic array of shops, restaurants, and architecture. Our guide lives not far from the end of our journey and his love for the area was evident. With our small group of four, it was easy to ask questions and have the tour adapted to our needs. We return to Paris in two week and plan to return to the Marais District to do further looking since we have been well oriented by our guide. Paris is so big, being able to take a 'small bite' like this is very helpful in appreciating why Paris is so well loved.

We were the only guests on this tour and our guide was just wonderful. She not only gave us a wonderful journey through the markets (tasting as we went) but shared the history of the neighborhood and took us to visit craftspersons as well. The stop at le
Baron Rouge was interesting as my friend took a picture of the proprietor and got quite the lecture on French photo ettiquette. A fun visit to 'old Paris'

It was great! Paul (from Wyoming) was very knowledgeable and made the various sites and events of the revolution(s) make much more sense to us, giving us background and insight as to how one event influenced another. He ended it at a cafe that had been frequented by Robespierre etc., which was perfect for us. It is not an exaggeration to say that, for our purposes, his tour made our trip so much more worthwhile.

Loved this tour! We went in winter and it was perfect, our guide Anne-Marie was wonderful. The Bastille district was lovely. We had the best croissants, cheese, bread and wine I've ever tasted. Loved walking around on a lazy Sunday. Definitely worth it!
