Doing what: Paris L'Open Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour

I'm not certain we'd do this again. It too 35 mins to get to the main transfer point, and once the buses were crowded, you couldn't get a spot to plug in the headphones. So much of the time we had no idea what we were looking at. It wasn't a total loss, but it was more transportation than tour.

We were so glad we booked this tour in advance. Our guide was just gorgeous and so friendly and helpful. When we arrived at the Eiffel Tower the queue was several hundred people long and they had been waiting hours. Because we had booked the restaurant we were in almost straight away. The view was spectacular and the lunch was nice. The river cruise was lovely and the commentary was great as it explained all the buildings as we went past them. Well worth it.

Doing what: Paris L'Open Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour

Mixed reviews for this one. I booked for a group of 8 and each couple travelled separately. Some had a great time and saw everything they wanted to see. All of us experienced long delays between buses (up to an hour), breakdowns on the buses and cases of drivers just stopping and leaving the bus for 5 minutes or more with no explanation. In my own case, I experienced over agressive bus drivers who followed other vehicles too closely, collided with mopeds, and were generally scary to be in the bus with. This tailgating of other vehicles, with the bus overcrowded and people standing in the aisles, resulted in brakes having to be slammed on to avoid a collision. The sudden stop ended with many people being thrown about and my wife having to be taken to hospital where we waited for 5 hours to see if any bones had been broken when she was thrown to the floor of the bus. My own experience would have resulted in me giving zero stars, however the others in our group did get to see what they wanted and were able to get around, despite the delays which seem to be an accepted part of life in Paris.

The bad weather made to Eiffel Tower difficult. But the city tour was great.

Doing what: Paris L'Open Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour

Best hop on hop off I've taken in any city. 4 different lines taking you all over the city. Great narration and frequent stops. What more can you ask for. Definitely worth the money!

Doing what: Paris L'Open Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour

All day rain made it difficult because lower portion of bus was overcrowded (to point of it being unsafe) and the roof top was too wet to use.

Doing what: Paris L'Open Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour

It was a convenient way to get around Paris for a first time visitor like me.
The commentary was very limited with long annoying music interludes. This commentary could have been much better and longer.
All in all it was a convenient mode of transport, but a little expensive.Next time I will use a city bus and/or taxi for my hop-on hop-off experience.

Doing what: Paris L'Open Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour

Good way to see Paris, although better communication from drivers would be great as its incredibly hard to get information from them, especially in regards to timetables! Use the map to guide you through your journey as the audio doesn't always match up to what you are seeing.

Doing what: Paris L'Open Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour

Great tour and great way to see the city. The English audio guide though was extremely difficult to hear - there was static and the volume was very low - so it wasn't really of much use.

The bus tour was enjoyable, but when we reached the Eiffel Tower it was just a sea of humanity. We had to wait in long lines to get in. Lunch was less than memorable, but the boat ride was great.

Doing what: Paris L'Open Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour

The bus provides a good way of getting around Paris and certainly you get to see all the sights. Good frequency also

Have just completed a tour and everything was very well run, from arrival at the booking office, all the way through to the river cruise. (started with taxi from Gare De Nord to office 12 Euros for 4 persons better than Metro anyday!) Boarded coach given all information and tickets for cruise, commentary on coach sometimes out of "sync" with position on tour but otherwise highly informative, thought we my not get to travel the Effiel Tower (only one lift working on east leg) managed to queue jump for ride up to the restaurant saved "approx" 2-3hrs. View from restaurant amazing overlooking the bridge and fountains, good choice of food and good set-up for ordering. Would definitely use the company again, tour is well worth taking and gives you a "taster" of Paris.

Doing what: Paris L'Open Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour

Excellent way to go about paris and see the sights. Two day pass will be sufficient to cover most of the places, but a little advance planning will help save time in the first half of day one figuring out routes and how to go about it.
