Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

The Versailles by Bike Day Tour was amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Ned was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable, funny and fantastic at his job. Everything ran smoothly. The market where we picked up our picnic items was great and having a picnic on the edge of the Grand Canal was awesome. We had a beautiful sunny day and enjoyed touring the gardens and the palace. This is a MUST DO on a visit to Paris !

Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris

My husband and I had a marvelous time on our small group day trip from Paris to Versailles. Our tour guide was informative and charming & the others on our tour were lovely people. Although the Palace was incredibly crowded, our guide was terrific in making sure we could see & hear her well. We would recommend this tour strongly.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

Probably the best part of the trip - lots of fun going thru the streets of Paris and Versailles and the grounds and picnic were perfect. The actual palace was very crowded, but the bike tour was wonderful.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing day. You won't be sorry if you book this tour, I'm still dreaming about riding my bike in Versailles. It was so much fun getting out of the hustle and bustle of the city to see the gardens and palace. Jackson, our guide, was extremely knowledgable and friendly. Riding through the streets of Paris to the train station was a real treat and catching the train is an adventure in itself! I loved the market where you purchase your picnic supplies. Don't forget an eclair or berry turnover for dessert and an excellent bottle of wine. The palace was amazing, but very crowded. I enjoyed the gardens much more. Don't miss this tour, it's great!

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

Our recent trip to Paris was enriched by our Versailles by Bike to the extent that it has made the list of top five highlights of our week! We loved biking around the city and the park. The best part of the tour was the biking, the shopping and the picnic, not the Palace! If we had simply visited the Palace, we would not have enjoyed the experience since it was extremely crowded. We would especially like to commend our fantastic guide, Sadie, who was delightful and adorable! It is always a pleasure to meet someone who thoroughly enjoys her work. In fact, I would actually like to have her job as she made it look so fun and rewarding. From the moment we arrived at the office in the city, to the moment we returned, the tour was handled with friendly and professional ease by all of the staff. I would highly recommend this tour as a great way to enjoy Versailles for all it has to offer, not just the Palace!

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

Fantastic tour start to finish. Enjoyable for the whole family parents & boys 16, 13, 9. We rode through streets of Paris to the RER train station, got the bikes on the train most challenging part! and arrived in Versailles to a beautifully sunny day. After stopping at the open-air market to buy our lunch, we biked around Versailles with our knowledgeable and humorous tour leader, Matt. We passed by the Petit and Grand Trianon and had lunch alongside the Grand Canal. After lunch we toured the palace and the boys looked out especially for paintings of Louis XIV's legs as Matt regaled us with stories of Louis' pleasure in his own physique. Though the RER train that we were supposed to return on had an emergency shut down, Matt did get us all back via a different train and we returned with a great day of memories. The kids rated this Viator tour as the highlight of our trip!

Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris

I had wanted to return to Versailles since my previous visit in 1980 and this half day small group trip proved the ideal way for us to achieve this and we were back in Paris in time to get on the hop on hop off bus and do some essential shopping in the afternoon. The guide was able to provide a comprehensive historical run down of the origins of the palace and the royal family, the palace and it's grounds are certainly as impressive as I had remembered and the chance to revisit corrected some previous poor recollections of 30 years ago and my confusion between it and some other European palaces. Most informative.

This was the highlight of our trip to Paris. The guide was absolutely brilliant and so entertaining and the palace grounds by bike was beautiful. The stop at the Versailles market to prepare for the picnic lunch was a very unique experience.

Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris

I highly recommend the versailles small group trip. The palace and gardens are marvellous and the guide was very helpfull and gave us a lot of good information about the palace and also about Paris in general. I would suggest a whole day trip since there is a lot to see.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

This is a wonderful, relaxing tour and a welcome contrast to biking around the streets of Paris. The open air market in Versailles is such a fun experience and what could be better than a picnic lunch along the grand canal on the palace grounds. The guides are fun and share a lot of history that makes the palace and grounds come alive. The only negative that I have to share is that the bikes could be better maintained. We had about 4 flat tires in our group the day we took the tour, and my son's chain kept falling off his bike. Better maintenance could have prevented these minor inconveniences. I'm still giving the tour a 5 star rating. It was a wonderful experience for our entire family.

Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris

We were picked up on time for this tour. And our guide was very fluent in English and Portuguese - languages of all in the minivan. Our guide was excellent - always translating in both languages and getting us to Versailles on time with interesting conversation along the way. Booking the trip with Viator allowed us to save a lot of time, since we already had our palace and our garden tickets in advance. A very big plus in saving time. I can't say enough about our guide. Very personable, knowledgable and moved us along at a good pace to make sure we saw all the important events. I highly recommend this trip when in Paris.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

I felt the need to express how much my daughter and I absolutely loved this bike tour of Versailles. It is probably the best memory we both have of our week in Paris. Nothing can compare to sitting at the end of the Grand Canal and enjoying both the gorgeous scenery and our delicious lunch, purchased at the Market. Our guide, Adam, was educational, gracious and able to efficiently repair any mishaps with the bikes. It was much more than I had expected and in my opinion, is the only way to see this palace and the breathtaking scenery surrounding it.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

This tour was wonderful, educating and exciting. Our tour guide was fun and knew his stuff. Riding bikes in Paris and getting on the train with the bikes was a bit tricky, but we definitely felt a sense of accomplishment when we were finished! Versailles itself was awesome. I think this tour is a great deal, considering it includes an all day excursion, admittance to the Palace and an afternoon of information and fun. Thanks!

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

This is fantastic! It's the only way to see Versailles. The best part of the tour was cycling along the Grand Canal and stopping for lunch whilst overlooking the Palace. Our guide's commentary was excellent. This is a must-do in Paris!

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

From the moment we arrived to our departure eight hours later, we had a blast. Our guide was a trip and did a terrific job guiding us through the markets of Versailles and then the palace grounds. After spending a week in Paris, I would consider this trip a MUST DO! The picnic at the base of the palace fountain was one of the highlights of the trip. The palace itself is worth the visit, but the bike tour allows you to see a great deal of the property and experience the history, a much different experience from just seeing the chateau with the throngs of tourists.
