Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

This was absolutely the best outing! Our tour guide was so fun, well-informed and able to keep our group moving while enjoying riding the streets of Paris, the train to Versailles and touring the town of Versailles as well as the grounds or the palace. He was so well-traveled and able to relate to the all the different participants of the tour. I have and would recommend this tour to anyone interested in an active outing. The picnic on the Grand Canal and riding through the woods of the palace grounds was priceless. I just wish we would have had time to take the Paris tour at night. The company was professional, organized and very easy to deal with. My son and I will always remember our trip to Paris and the highlight of the Versailles bike tour.

Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris

Versailles was 1 on my must-see list in Paris and it exceeded my wildest expectations! It is absolutely breathtaking. I'd recommend going for a full day, if possible, but I was able in my half-day to see a good part of it. I did not get to see as much of the gardens as I'd have liked and the gardens are almost an entire village themselves. The tour driver was knowledgeable and helpful, and it was a treat to be collected at my hotel, but I think the price of 74 euros was a bit steep for what we got. Had I gone on my own, it would have cost about 25 euros, so that's a big difference to pay for a van ride since the driver did not accompany us through the palace. She arranged for our headsets and told us where to meet her two hours later. All in all, however, no regrets. Versailles is worth every penny.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

This was the highlight tour for us. Our guide was fantastic. He managed to maneuver about twenty of us through the Paris streets to get our bikes on the Metro Line, provided adequate time to buy our picnic lunch items, and brought history alive with his interesting stories of the kings, their wives, and the revolution. The bike tour is the only way to see all the beautiful grounds of Versailles, and he made sure that we knew what to observe during our Palace tour. The only problem for me was that it was entirely too short.

Doing what: Versailles and Giverny Day Trip

Adding an extra person to our tour proved to be no problem for the cheery counter staff in Paris. Our guide was excellent, and the tour ran like clockwork. The lunch at Versailles was very appropriate, and the headphones linked by radio to the microphoned guide on the palace tour meant we could here every comment she made.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

I just returned from France and discovered that one of my favorite outings was the Bike Tour of Versailles. It is a wonderful and peaceful way to see the gardens and unwind from the hustle and bustle of Paris. Your guide will take you to the Versailles Marketplace to buy your lunch items, and believe me, the items such as the cheese, bread, sweet confections, fruits, and wines will not disappoint. I believe I had the best croissant and cheese ever from this beautiful marketplace. The fruits are as sweet and gorgeous as honey. The only drawback of this tour is that you will only visit the main Versailles palace, but riding through the gardens and having a nice picnic lunch on the grounds far outweighs any traditional tour that puts you on a bus. You will meet travelers from around the world, have great food and wine, share laughs, and have a day that you will never forget! So forget the bus and hop on a bike, it's the only way to truly see Paris and you'll have great stories to share and wonderful memories.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

The bicycle trip to Versailles was definitely the highlight of our France trip. My husband and I had been to Paris previously, but this was our first trip to Versailles, and it was well worth the time. We met up with the tour operator close to the Eiffel Tower and actually rode our bikes to the train station. Once we arrived at our destination, we were able to go to a wonderful market and buy delicious goodies for our picnic. Our tour guide was just marvelous! He was knowledgeable regarding the history of Versailles, had such a warm and amiable personality, and kept us interested and engaged the entire day. The grounds at Versailles were simply breathtaking. To be able to bike around and enjoy the juicy tidbits of history provided by the guide was so entertaining. On top of all of that, after a fun morning of riding, we toured the exquisite grand interior of the palace. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants more than just a standard group tour. This is a memorable adventure!

This is the way to see Versailles! We skipped the lines and went right in. We were meet by another guide who took us through the Palace. She was ver knowledgeable. We then had a few hours to wander around the gardens and have lunch. It was a chilly overcast day when we were there and Paris was just starting to get green so I can imagine the gardens would have been gorgeous a week or two later. Still a nice pleasant few hours walking around the gardens and seeing all of the fountains.

THE TRIP TO VERSAILLES WAS GOOD BUT THERE WAS A MIX UP OVER OUR GROUP TICKETS AND WE WASTED APPROXIMATELY HALF AN HOUR WAITING TO GET INTO THE PALACE. I BECAME ILL ON THE WAY BACK TO PARIS AND COULDN'T COMPLETE THE REST OF THE TOUR - WE UNFORTUNATELY HAD TO FORFEIT OUR TICKETS TO THE EIFFEL TOWER NECESSITATING US PAYING FOR ANOTHER TIME SLOT BUT WE DID GET THE PASSES FOR THE RIVER CRUISE WHICH WE USED ANOTHER DAY - FELT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO DO THE PARIS CITY TOUR THE FOLLOWING DAY BUT THEY WOLDN'T CONSIDER IT

Greg met us St Lazare station and was an entertaining and informative guide. He showed us around the Versailles markets before walking us to the palace and gardens. It was a bitterly cold day so the picnic on the Grand Canal was a bit uncomfortable, but the lunch pack was very tasty. We had plenty of time to walk through the gardens and palace, and Greg made sure everyone got off the the train at the correct stop on the return back to Paris. A good value tour.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

We met in Paris, took the train to Versailles, picked up our bikes and then shopped for our lunch at the markets. We then rode our bikes to Versailles Palace and spent a wonderful day cycling around the gardens. Later in the day we toured the inside of the palace. Our tour guide was very informative and I highly recommend this tour, a little different to the normal bus tours but very enjoyable

Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Being collected from our hotel at the start of the day and dropped off at the conclusion of the tour meant we could relax and not worry about transport. Our guide gave us LOADS of information about Versailles, the gardens, and the Grande and Petite Trianons. Lunch was exquisite and completely worth it! Our guide said you CANNOT miss the Sal de Bal - and he was right. We went on a 'fountains going' day, and the Sal de Bal has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Plus, seeing Versailles with the fountains on really brought it to life - you could imagine Loius XIV wandering the grounds! This tour is a MUST DO if you are visiting Paris - and going with a organised tour means you can bypass most of the queues - even though the palace will still be busy.

Really enjoyed the morning Palace of Versailles tour. The tour guide was very informative and spoke several languages. And it was very beautiful. One girl at the office was very unfriendly and could not be bothered with our questions. The lunch was really good, but there was only 3 of us eating, so it was strange to have a large area reserved for just us. The afternoon Paris City Tour was too fast. A lot of my pictures didn't turn out or got cut off. It snowed when we were on the Eiffel Tower, which was cool. The Seine River Cruise was very nice too. The employee on the boat knew several languages, which is very helpful. Bravo for those people because it really makes a difference. This all day tour felt like several small separate tours put together in one day. We were handed our tickets to the Eiffel Tower and river cruise and left to our own devices. Some may or may not like this way of touring.

Doing what: Versailles and Giverny Day Trip

The coach was comfortable. Giverny was wonderful and our guide was very informative. We arrived at Versailles with multiple other buses. It was like a cattle run trying to view the rooms in the palace, we got separated from the group due to the sheer crowd - but his is not the fault of the tour operator. Would have liked a little more time in the gardens at Versailles. We could easily have arrived back in Paris 1 hour later.

Doing what: Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris

This was a great time and a great way to get to Versailles, especially if you're on a limited time frame. We had only 3 days total in Paris on our trip to a couple of European locations, so this was the perfect tour to make sure we got to see Versailles but didn't end up spending too much of our precious time there. Our driver was very friendly, picked us up promptly from our hotel and dropped us off afterward, which was awesome, and filled the drive there with interesting information about Versailles. One possible recommendation--check out the gardens early. They start you in the palace, which is obviously amazing, but don't take too long looking through it or you will not have enough time to check out the beautiful gardens. Overall a great experience!

Doing what: Versailles and Giverny Day Trip

Over all the tour was great. It was a nice way to see two very important places during our time in the Paris area. The only complaint is that I wish we had more time in the gardens of Versailles rather than in the palace.
