Doing what: Paris' Pere LaChaise Gravestone Walking Tour
The tour was most informative on the cemetery...well worth it as it is a HUGE cemetery and we would of never received the valuable information if gone on our own...Eve was fantastic and we really enjoyed her company...best of luck to her as she is about to graduate...it was great meeting her!! She was so helpful and kind.

Doing what: Paris' Pere LaChaise Gravestone Walking Tour
The four of us kicked off our week-long stay in Paris with a tour of Pere Lachaise. Our guide, Rutha, was so very welcoming and knowledgeable! Her tour was intriguing and informative, not only about the cemetery but about the history of the area. We were the only people on the tour that day and she was wonderful in answering our questions and in customizing the tour to what interested us. Pere Lachaise itself is a fascinating place with beautiful plantings, moving memorials, and amazing monuments. This tour was a great way to spend our first afternoon in Paris!

Doing what: Paris' Pere LaChaise Gravestone Walking Tour
What a wonderful time we had! Such an informative guide Emily was, so knowledgeable and funny and engaging. Walking the allees looking at the monuments erected to those who have gone before us, the beauty, the care, the attention, the devotion, the obsession..all there to see and enjoy. It's a good walk, very little uphill (except at the beginning) and a good workout. Enjoy!

Doing what: Paris' Pere LaChaise Gravestone Walking Tour
Terrific guide. (sorry I forget her name) but she was excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable, and allowed us to spend time at the tombs we were interested in. I had thought I could manage without a guide, but I would actually have been totally lost without her.
Also a very interesting place to visit that was unusual and free of other tourists.

Well worth the pain caused by the cobblestones. Our guide was helpful and helped us to understand the operation of the site.

This should have been a fascinating tour but it was a bit slow moving with long walks between stops at interesting graves.

Doing what: Paris' Pere LaChaise Gravestone Walking Tour
We ended up being the only two on this tour ns the guide was very knowledgeable about the cemetery and it's history as well as the history of Paris at time this cemetery began accepting guests! Was perfect.

Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to stay there!!! Very friendly and knowledgeable guide; she made it feel like a walk in the park.

It rained all day and we got soaked. But if anything this suited the mood of this tour. It was magnificent and the guide was great.

The guide was excellent and the tour was interesting. Three hours was a little long. We saw all the tombs we wanted to see in the first two hours so we ducked out.

Guide was useless. She showed us graves using a map and couldn't even find Moulieres grave. Walked up and down paths twice trying to find famous graves. Would have been better having the map ourselves.

The guide was new to France and she didn't have a lot of facts about the cemetery.

Doing what: Paris' Pere LaChaise Gravestone Walking Tour
The worst tour that I have ever taken! Jenny was awful and very disorganized. She had us enter the cemetery from the back entrance and didn't bother to provide use the FREE cemetery maps. She took us to the Columbarium and didn't know one person buried there. She pointed out a niche that she said was evidence of recent entrants. And only after I got back to the US, did I realize that it was a two-time Tour of France winner. She took us out of the way to see some Napoleon general and an innovator of the Metro-but she didn't even point out Sarah Bernhardt, Marcel Marceau, Abelard and Heloise, and so many others. I asked for money back-but have not heard from Viator. Don't bother with this tour unless you want to waste your money and what little time that you have in Paris. I am so disappointed in this tour.
