Christmas & New Year's Eve in Paris
Spend your Christmas in Paris, and see how the fashionable French celebrate Christmas in style!

Oozing with atmosphere, Paris has long been the destination of choice for stylish shoppers, romancing lovers, families and food lovers alike. So what better place to spend the festive season – perfect for Christmas shopping in the chic boutiques, or wining and dining against the romantic backdrop of the City of Lights.

Take a stroll down the elegant Champs-Elysées and see this famous avenue decked out sparkling Christmas trees and 150,000 twinkling lights stretching from the Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde. This is just one of many light displays around the capital, so why not take our Paris Christmas Lights Tour to see along with the best of the rest.

With the Euro so weak, Christmas in Paris is the ideal time to stock up on gifts at better than usual prices. Seek out unique stocking fillers and gourmet delights at the charming Paris Christmas Markets (open until New Year), or head over to the impressive Galeries Lafayette department store for a fix of luxury shopping, Christmas carols or to admire the huge Christmas tree under the famous "coupole" glass dome. Thousands of local Parisians seek out Galeries Lafayette Paris as a ritual every year to admire the window displays and glittering Christmas lights that adorn the facade of the building and surrounding boulevards.

Of course no trip to Paris would be complete without indulging in its world-famous cuisine, and you’ll be hard pushed to find a Christmas meal done better elsewhere. While the French traditionally eat their festive feast on Christmas Eve, there are some great options to dine out on the big day itself. For an unforgettable Christmas dinner and traditional French cabaret show look no further than our Lido de Paris: Christmas Dinner and Show or our Paris Paradis Latin Show.

Paris cabaret shows are showcasing premium New Year’s Eve dinner packages so you can celebrate the arrival of 2011 in style. Book at the Lido de Paris or Paradis Latin. Moulin Rouge Paris is offering a 5-course dinner with a bottle of Cristal Roederer Champagne and it’s the only night of the year that you can dance until dawn at the original venue in the Montmartre district. If you prefer to dine at a local restaurant...raise your glass on the stroke of midnight on a New Year's Eve illuminations tour of Paris with a stop at the Eiffel Tower, and three-course dinner, champagne, music and dancing with a choice of 5 venues including L’espace Petit-Pont, Au Vieux Paris, L'Empire du 8eme, Toi Restaurant or New Year’s Eve Seine Dinner Cruise.

This is a phenomenal experience y Paris. We went to the dinner/show on Christmas eve and we enjoyed a lot. The production of the show is very good including dancers and acrobats and the food was also excellent. Not recommended for small children.

We had a wonderful afternoon with Alexandra. Fortunately we were the only participants so could ask as many questions as we needed answered. It was bitterly cold and raining, but the tour was so great we did not feel it. The venues were well researched, the tastes fantastic and the amount we learned was astonishing. Great to learn something new about how different culture celebrate Christmas with different foods and customs.

The tour guide was nice and really took us to elite places for chocolate shopping and gathering of the 13 desserts. He then took us to sit and eat the desserts with a coffee or tea and nice Christmas music. The title of this tour could be misleading maybe it should be something like " the 13 dessert
